Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 11

This cedar-planked vacation home, tucked away on the green hills overlooking the beach, has a nautical design reminiscent of a boat - only much more spacious and elegant. Sahhali Ocean Vista House is a wonderful location for up to 11 guests to enjoy a private hot tub, breathtaking ocean views, and the quaint beach town of Neskowin in any season.

The great room features tall, vaulted wood ceilings and numerous large windows for gazing out at the ocean. The view is equally stunning on a clear sunny day or during a dramatic winter storm, and the room's soothing blue-and-white color scheme has a bit of modern flair thrown in for fun. A comfortable sectional couch is arranged to make the most of the views and is a lovely spot to sip some hot chocolate while contemplating the seascape outside. In addition, a number of cozy chairs provide seating around a flatscreen TV with a DVD player.

Perfect for reunions and entertaining, this house boasts not one but two kitchens. A large kitchen on the main floor contains everything needed for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Plentiful granite counter space provides ample room for any kind of culinary project, whether you're baking bread or reheating leftovers for a midmorning snack.

Whatever you whip up, there is bountiful seating that includes a breakfast bar in the kitchen, a formal dining room with space for six, and an additional rustic wood dining table that seats eight overlooking the water. A magical, relaxing spot, it looks to be right out of a home design magazine. There are also plenty of outdoor spots to relax on one of the multiple decks and breathe in that fresh ocean air!

Downstairs, along with the bonus kitchen, is a family room with a sleeper sofa and loveseat. A bedroom holds a full-size bed with a twin bunk bed above. This level also has a full bathroom and is perfect for kids or family members that want their own space.

On the second floor is the oasis-like master suite with a king-size bed, tall ceilings, and more of those postcard-perfect ocean views. You can create a cozy little nest in the morning, lounging in bed with the paper, coffee, some baked goods, and the sounds of the ocean through the open windows. The connected master bath contains more of those million dollar views, a jetted tub, a walk-in shower that has three shower heads, and a heated towel rack to make you feel especially pampered each morning!

The large sleeping loft is just down the hall, holding two queen beds with dark blue-and-white striped bedding, surrounded by more large windows. There is also a roomy desk area with amazing views - the perfect spot to sketch in a travel journal, write postcards, or perhaps play a board game. The two bedrooms, loft, and two-and-a-half baths comfortably sleep a total of 11 guests.

Other amenities include a washer, dryer, and plenty of patio furniture. The home is dog-friendly, so don't forget to bring along your four-legged family members (although a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply).

The quiet and secluded town of Neskowin has a long, typically uncrowded sandy beach that is perfect for exploring, picnicking, or catching up on that pile of beach books. For an iconic photo-op, take in the tree-lined basalt outcropping known as Proposal Rock. Legend says it was named after the proposal of Charles Gage to Della Page, around the turn of the century.

For golfers, there is a charming course right in town. Six miles to the north is Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge, an area with many wildfire viewing opportunities and sweeping view points of the Pacific Ocean. If you are tempted to venture out, most dining options are located 13 miles south in the town of Lincoln City, with even more dining and entertainment choices (including the renowned Pelican Brewery) in nearby Pacific City.

Spend your days relaxing, surrounded by the blue of the Pacific and the green of the trees in this beautiful ocean-view home.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a websitecould be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

 • 4 of 5

Although we enjoyed are stay, I think it would of been more enjoyable if it wasn't for the water restriction and quite after 10.

You pay for the view. We wont return. Dirty

This house has lots a potential but is not taken care of. We rent houses at the beach at least once a month and we wont be renting this one again. The view is amazing dont get me wrong but its not worth the price they charge you. Here are a few reasons why.

what was wrong:

-The number one big pain was the parking. Two cars in the garage and one car in the driveway but it sleeps 10 people? Ive NEVER experienced this before. I understand you dont want a ton of cars but that is ridiculous. They dont even give you another option of places to park. FYI they WILL ticket you if you have more, dont mess around.

-there were holes in the walls all over the house

-the oven was so hard to open i thought the door was going to pop off every time that we opened it. There were a few times i almost burnt myself.

-we love to cook and read the reviews saying there were not alot of kitchen supplies. Well that was a under statement. If you decide to rent this house make sure you bring EVERYTHING you need to cook with (pots, pans, mixer, mixing spoon, mixing bowl, any baking pans). Oh and there arent drinking glasses just mugs. We were also left with minimal cleaning supplies and 3 garbage bags for three nights of being there. How do you expect us to clean up with no supplies?

-if you are planning on bringing more than 4 people i would bring blankets and blow up mattresses. The master bed was nice but the loft bed was broken in the middle, VERY uncomfortable and sheets dirty.

-This house could really be awesome with a little TLC. It was very dusty and dirty and looked like it hadnt been deep cleaned in a while.

- The house has a game room, fun right? Well the foosball tables leg was broken so we couldnt play. We didnt really spend any time down there.

-The door to the bathroom downstairs (the main bathroom) was broken it wouldnt close all the way. Half the windows in the house are broken, if you open them they are hard to close or wont close.

-If you like to hang out outside id be careful on the deck it looks very old and may fall at any time. why not just make it safe?

What i liked: The view

the thought and detail and personality that went into the designing and building a house like this is amazing. Its beautiful and if it was taken care of and stocked with things to make it feel homely then it would be worth the price. But it hasnt and isnt and if i was you id look elsewhere. Also they charge 100$ booking fee?
