About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 9

Just one block from the ocean and the bustling Promenade, this newly refreshed Seaside vacation home is perfect for a family reunion or gathering. Lounge on the expansive deck in the summer months, and spend chilly winter evenings around the gas fireplace for a cozy night of storm-watching and board games!

This laid-back vacation getaway is tucked away on the south end of Seaside, nestled between the lush greens of the Seaside Golf Course and the restaurants, shops, and arcades in the heart of town. You can walk everywhere, but still enjoy your peace and quiet when you need it. Please note that due to its residential neighborhood, it is not suited for a gathering of friends who can be loud at times.

The home has its open living spaces on the upper floor, with plenty of space for the whole family to gather and socialize. If you like to cook, you're in luck: the full kitchen is outfitted with all the appliances, dishes, pots and pans, and utensils you need to prepare meals for a big group, with a dishwasher so you can spend your time having fun instead of scrubbing at the sink! Just off the kitchen is a dining table with six chairs (and 3 folding spares, as needed) so everyone can gather for a hearty home-cooked breakfast before heading out to explore the Oregon Coast.

The living area has comfortable sofas arranged before the gas fireplace, offering a cozy spot to curl up with a good book and a hot toddy for a peaceful evening. Grab a board game from our nicely stocked shelf, indulge in a game of Ping-Pong, or if the weather cooperates, head out to the expansive deck to take in the sunset!

With three bedrooms and two and a half baths, this 1,900-square-foot home can accommodate up to nine guests very comfortably. Upstairs, the master suite with attached full bath has a queen bed. The living room's sofa unfolds into a comfortable sleeper as well, and the half bath is on the upper floor for everyone's convenience!

Downstairs, two spacious bedrooms, one has a full bed and a trundle bed with two twin mattresses, so an entire family can share it comfortably if you're traveling with a large group or small children. The other bedroom has a queen bed and they both share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom accessible from each bedroom. The laundry room with washer/dryer makes life easy on longer stays, and the garage provides covered parking for two vehicles, with room for two more in the driveway.

The home is perfect for multi-family vacations. We do offer cable TV with DVD player as well as wireless Internet access. There's also a wall-mounted TV with Netflix streaming and a PlayStation 4 in one of the downstairs bedrooms.

Golfing, kite-flying, clamming, crabbing, beach combing, surfing, hiking, sea kayaking, arcade games, an aquarium, shopping, and plentiful dining are all within easy reach when you stay at Seaside Serenity! Whether you are planning a relaxing weekend or adventure-packed getaway, you'll love calling this laid-back retreat your home away from home on the Coast.

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wifes family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Great location, older furnishings

  • 4 of 5

We rented this home for 4 adults and 3 kids (2 3yo and 1 6yo) for 5 days. I wanted it for it's close proximity to the water (which you can't beat. The only closer homes are actually on the promenade), big open area where we could sit and play board games while the kids played, and the big back deck where we could sit and look at the water. The view was obscured, but it's still beautiful. The weather sort of stunk, but I expected that in early June, and voted for that over crowds -- which I don't regret at all, since we had an absolute blast, and had no issues with noise or crowds.

The house is nicely sized -- we didn't feel crowded at all, even with a few people in the kitchen, but the floors are very creaky (which sucks if you are a light sleeper, so fair warning if you're in the master), or have kids downstairs while you're upstairs. The beds are older and not terribly comfortable, and the dining room chairs have also seen better days. The dining room table is the perfect size for our group, and gave us lots of gaming space.

The game collection left at the house was a joke -- every game was missing most of it's pieces or broken. Our kids were disappointed, but we luckily brought some of our own for them. The ping pong table turned into a point of contention with the kids, so we took the paddles away, and covered in with the puzzles (at least 5, none of which had even half of their pieces).

The kitchen has a nice assortment of knives, cutting boards and the such. We actually brought our own cast iron dishes since we were cooking for 7, and my friend is a bit of a foodie. It was fantastic to not have to eat out, and have a good meal to come back to every night.

Overall, we had a blast. I'm not sure we would return to this specific house, but we didn't have any issues with vacasa. We loved the space, proximity to the beach, eating on the deck, keeping all of the windows open, the beach, the sand, the beach, and most of all, the beach. It is a good house -- it could be a great house with a little more investment in the furniture, and games. We made some awesome memories at this house, and I will remember it fondly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay on Beach Drive. The location was excellent within a block from the Promenade and fifteen minute walk to the main street. It is situated in a quiet area of town.

The unit had everything you would need including some spices. It is extremely spacious and has some views of the ocean.

The unit was everything they advertise and more.

Seaside Serenity was exactly that!

  • 5 of 5

The location was absolutely perfect. That deck overlooking the ocean and cottage rooftops was beautiful. Sat out on it every night just feeling the ocean breeze. And beach access was literally one house down and you were there. Setup was great for our two families with small kids. Lots of room for them to play and the ping pong table created more than a few competitive evenings. We will be looking this house up again on our next trip to Seaside :)
