Casa Amanquesa is a traditional Santa Fe casita conveniently located in the Guadalupe Historic District. It's walking distance to the Plaza, Railyard (and the Farmers' Market) and the DeVargas Center.
This is a fully furnished, historic home with all the modern conveniences -- WiFi, cable, dishwasher, washer/dryer, flat-screen TV -- and including a beautiful patio with seating for 6 + a grill. The house is about 140 years old, and is the original building in the compound. There is not a 90-degree angle in the home, and the doors and entry ways are low. (I'm 5'5" and have no problem, but if you're taller than 6' you will have to remember to duck when you enter the house). The ceilings in the main sitting room are high, and the thick adobe walls keep the home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. There are two, off-street parking places, a gas-fired kiva fireplace, and heating units in both bedrooms and the bathroom. The house IS NOT air conditioned, but there are ceiling and free-standing fans.
One bedroom has a queen-size bed with a desk and two small chests used as bedside tables; the other bedroom has two twin beds and a small chest of drawers. Both bedrooms have closets (a modern addition). Laundry facilities are in a separate closet in the queen bedroom. The bathroom has a combination tub/shower, a basin and toilet.
If you like to walk, you may not need a car. The DeVargas Center is fewer than 1,000 steps, and the Railyard (Farmers' Market, cinema) is just slightly farther (according to my Fitbit). It is exactly 1 mile to the center of the Plaza, and if you walk you don't have to worry about parking!
