THE PROPERTY

Bedroom: Queen Bed

Book your last minute getaway now through April 10th and receive 20% off!

Molokai is ideal for couples looking for a relaxing getaway with few crowds and ample opportunities to explore outdoors. For unhurried, 1 or 2-week stays, there is plenty to do on Moloka’i! Explore numerous pristine beaches, hike through scenic parks and reserves, or simply unwind with a loved one!

Enter this picturesque upper floor condo and marvel at the views of the ocean through the expansive glass doors and windows, the spacious open plan with cathedral ceilings, and the cooling breezes playing through ample louvered windows.

Feel the balmy trade winds blowing through your hair when you step out to the wraparound second floor balcony. Sip your morning coffee on the outdoor furniture and gaze out at the stunning views. Return in the evening for a glorious sunset drink. From sunrise to sundown, you'll simply fall in love with the vistas from the balcony.

The living room features a couch, armchair, desk, bookcase, dining suite, and flat-screen cable TV & DVD. After a day at the beach, you can kick back and use the wireless internet access to research your next adventure, or comfortably do some leftover work at the desk.

Everything you need to cook your own food at home can be found in the fully equipped kitchen with large a stove, oven, over-the-range microwave, and toaster. Whip up savory meals while gazing out at the contrasting colors of magenta bougainvillea, golden beach, white surf and blue ocean.

Enjoy breakfast on the lanai viewing the changing morning light over the slopes of Maunaloa and the beach while listening to bird song and watching them flit by. Sit down to a romantic dinner at the dining table under a stained glass lamp, or at the outdoor table on the lanai, both with seating for 4.

Swing the flat-screen cable TV in the living room towards the bedroom and watch your favorite show as your fall asleep on the comfortable queen-sized bed.

During your stay, you'll enjoy the community amenities including an excellent pool and spa, tennis courts, 2 picnic areas with gas grills (one under cover next to the pool and spa, and one close to the unit so you can head back and enjoy your dinner on the lanai at sunset), and access to Kepuhi Beach.

THE LOCATION

Take a scenic 3/4-mile stroll to Papohaku Beach for golden sand and crashing waves. The beach stretches for 2 miles - the longest and widest sandy beach in Hawaii – virtually empty of people. If you want to hang out on a sunny day, do consider taking a shade umbrella. The surf and undertow on this beach can be dangerous, so if you're looking to swim or snorkel, you should check out several other nearby beaches - described in our manual in the condo.

Kalaupapa Historical Park is a great place to learn about the history of the island. Take the Damien Tour and hear about the selfless lives of Father Damien de Veuster and Mother Marianne Cope who traveled to this area to tend to Hawaiians that were suffering from leprosy. For a unique journey through the historical park, visit Kalaupapa Mule Tour. This guided tour takes 3.2 miles through the park on the back of a pack mule.

Drive for 2-hours to the lush East end of the island, visiting quite beaches on the way. Here the Halawa Valley Falls Cultural Hike offers the most authentic Hawaiian cultural experience on the island. Learn about the local culture, plants, animals, and more as you hike through the verdant valley to Mo'oula Falls, and perhaps a swim in the pool beneath.

Get out on the water with Molokai Ocean Tours, offering whale watching, snorkeling, fishing, stand up paddle boarding, and more.

The condo was just as advertised.

  • 4 of 5

We found it clean, quiet and the views from the lanai are amazing. There were adequate supplies for the kitchen and the beach. The beach is more than steps away but the walk down to it was great every morning. We loved the lanai and spent many hours relaxing, reading and watching the ocean. We would use this condo again if we return to Molokai.

The best part of our experience was being on the lanai with the magnificent views.

  • 4 of 5

The condo was clean and had lovely tropical decor. Our only complaint was a musty smell. However, the sunsets more than made up for that. Overall our score would be a 4.5.
