An immaculate property that has all the luxuries of home in a beautiful French rural setting. You can laze away your days on the poolside or be more adventurous exploring the surrounding historical towns. The accommodation is immaculately presented and the owners take a vested interest in ensuring your stay goes without a hitch. Highly recommended by everyone in our family.
We had an absolutely amazing long weekend in September. The weather was great and the barn was stunning. It had a really authentic French feel to it and had everything we needed and more.
The property was clean and maintained to a high standard. There was information left from the owners about who to contact and how if there were any problems ( which there weren't). There was also information regarding the local area and we were lucky enough to visit Eymet and Bergerac and their surrounding areas. A car is essential for this property as it is very remote ( another Beauty of it for me ). I would definitely recommend to friends ( and already have!) and would love to stay again and see more of the France.
We would like to thank Helen and Stuart for renting their us their barn for the week. The barn was in a beautiful location, sympathetically restored, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It was such a peaceful, relaxing place for myself and husband yet the well maintained pool kept our 2 boys amused for hours.
We were fortunate enough to have fabulous weather for the whole week (we watched the fantastic sunsets each evening by the pool accompanied by a large glass of the local wine); however even if this had not been the case there was lots to do in the surrounding area. As we have two boys aged 7 and 11 we took advantage of some of the sporting activities such as karting and kayaking on offer in the area although I would also recommend visiting some of the local chateaux. We visited Chateau Monbazillac and Chateau Bridoire. Monbazillac was beautiful and a must for wine lovers however Bridoire had lots of great activities for the children.
I found Helen, the owner, to be very helpful throughout and we really appreciated the comprehensive visitor guide left at the barn. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others - we would certainly return in the future.
Property is located in a very scenic area and is within easy reach of towns such as Bergerac. Beautiful location. Lovely spacious barn with all amenities that made you feel completely at home and the pool was amazing!! Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!!!
We are a family of 5 and have just enjoyed 2 fantastic weeks in this barn conversion. Having stayed in various Gites over the years we have found this property easily the best equipped we have come across. The barn is presented to the highest possible standards throughout. Everything seems to have been thought of; the kitchen is well equipped, the living room is spacious and comfortable, the bedrooms are very comfortable with mosquito nets and fans should you need them.
The swimming pool is lovely, our kids spent many happy hours using the pool as the weather was glorious.
There is loads to do in the area, we visited 2 great waterparks and caves and there are markets for every day of the week in surrounding towns and villages.
Their information booklet seems to have covered everything regarding activities, restaurants and loads of useful local information etc.
This is a high quality accommodation which we would fully recommend to anyone and hope to return ourselves.
We found Stuart and Helen to be very helpful and welcoming, we would like to express our thanks to them for a wonderful holiday.
