Plumeria is located atop Gifft Hill, and features panoramic ocean views of up to twenty islands and cays, as well as spectacular sunsets, among the finest on St. John. Its layout provides the ultimate in Caribbean indoor/outdoor living, with large French doors in every room opening onto the interior courtyard, sundeck, and pool. Outdoor living spaces include the enclosed courtyard, a very comfortable outdoor living room facing the view, a central pool, interior gardens, covered walkways, the main sundeck, the new lower deck with its large built-in spa, the shaded dining gazebo, and a granite outdoor kitchen. Plumeria's hilltop location, with adjacent green space, ensures complete privacy and gentle tropical breezes, as well as a single-level floor plan, with a flat driveway that has room for several cars.
Plumeria's expansive decks offer complete privacy while sunning by the pool, or enjoying a romantic evening in the outdoor living room. Have cocktails and enjoy the stunning sunsets over the Caribbean. As night falls, watch as cruise ships leave for their next port of call, and dine in the outdoor dining gazebo, with the lights of St. Thomas twinkling in the distance. Guests have often commented that dining in the gazebo at Plumeria is the 'table with the best view on St. John'. During the full moon the reflection over the waters of Pillsbury Sound is unmatched. The night sky is full of stars for star gazing, and we provide a high-end telescope and binoculars for guests to use.
The pool is solar heated, ensuring comfortable 80+ degree swimming all year round, and at night, LED pool lights slowly change colors, illuminating the courtyard. The gardens surrounding Plumeria were created for your enjoyment. Orchids abound in the trees, and over 200 different plants and flowers, many with botanical plant labels, attract hummingbirds and bananaquits. Flowering plumeria trees, also called frangipani, add a delightful fragrance to the tropical breezes. In summer, guests can enjoy delicious mangoes, picked fresh from the tree.
You can be dining at one of the many fine restaurants in Cruz Bay less than 10 minutes after leaving your private villa. Plumeria has been furnished for your ultimate comfort, with large upholstered custom furnishings in the great room, and similarly immersive furnishings in the outdoor living room. Indoor fine dining for six is easily accessible from the gourmet kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked for 'cooking in', with all the gear needed to prepare gourmet meals, including a full set of thirty Penseys' spices. In addition to its large indoor kitchen, Plumeria features a granite outdoor kitchen adjacent to the dining gazebo. The outdoor kitchen features a large built-in gas grill with rotisserie, a teppanyaki cooktop, a mini-fridge, hot and cold water sink, and all of the necessary utensils and tableware. Across the pool from the great room are the bedrooms, with a king bed in the master bedroom, and a queen bed in the guest bedroom. Both lower bedrooms include en-suite baths, with twin vanities and a new tiled shower off the master bedroom. The spacious loft above the great room has both a queen bed and two twin beds, and is accessed by a spiral stairway. All three bedrooms feature whisper-quiet split air conditioning. A smaller day bed in the great room brings Plumeria's total sleeping accommodations up to nine.
Plumeria shares ownership with the adjacent villa on Gifft Hill, Coconuts vrbo 472849, and the two villas can be rented together, accommodating larger groups with up to sixteen guests. Lush tropical landscaping provides complete privacy between the two villas, which each have their own half acre lot. For joint villa rentals, a gate in the fence between their lots is unlocked, allowing guests to walk freely between the grounds.
St John's gorgeous, undeveloped North Shore beaches, among the finest in the Caribbean, are only 15 to 20 minutes away. You can choose a relaxing day at the beach with our beach chairs, coolers, towels, and floats, or browse thru the many interesting shops to be found in nearby Cruz Bay.

We will accept stays of less than seven nights. For these shorter stays, we charge a premium over the pro-rated daily rate of 10% for each day less than seven. For example, a five day stay would be the weekly rate * 5/7 * 1.20, where the 1.20 is the 20% premium for a stay two days less than a week. This is to cover fixed villa turnaround expenses such as housecleaning, laundering, and pool and spa maintenance. This less than seven night premium is waived for gap openings, where the villa is already rented contiguously before and after your stay. VRBO's rental charge calculator is not set up to process stays shorter than one week; contact us if you are interested in a shorter stay.

Plumeria is a very nice well equipped villa. We spent 2 weeks here and enjoyed our stay. The view and sunset could not be beat! The villa, spa, and pool were impeccably maintained. The owners are available for any problems that might arise or questions. Lots of extra amenities not found in alot of other villas and attention to detail that the owners have obviously provided. We enjoyed the telescope immensely, the full spice rack in the kitchen was well stocked, and fresh coffee daily just to name a few. Tastefully landscaped with many beautiful flowers and plants. Most even have a name tag!
We stayed at Plumeria the last week of January and absolutely loved it. We all felt that the pictures didn't do the property justice. It was beautiful the deck was huge and had so many different sitting areas depending on the time of day. We made hummingbird food just after we arrived and enjoyed watching the multitudes of hummingbirds enjoy the feast. We also enjoyed watching the rooster, chickens and their chicks as well as seeing a small deer the last mornng we were there. We were there for the full moon, and the view of the ocean with the moon's reflection was absolutey stunning. Most of our sunsets were hindered by late afternoon clouds, but it was still a great time to get back to the house after having been on the beach.... sit in the hot tub and relax a little before cooking dinner. Yes, we cooked every night and loved doing it on the teppanyaki grill. We fished early in the week with Double Header Sport Fishing and caught a 35 lb wahoo, snapjack tuna and yellow tail snapper. Thanks to Eric and Aaron, we ate well. We thoroughly enjoyed the beaches, the ocean and the house. It was a great getaway for late January...... oh and did I mention the weather was fabulous... 80's during the day... 70's at night.... awesome. Thank you Kevin and Dannielle for sharing your house!

My husband and I along with 4 other couples stayed in Plumeria and Cocconuts for 8 days. It was absolutely the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The views from the deck (anywhere on the deck, any time of day) were spectacular! We have been coming to St John every 2 years for 14 years now and this house by far was the BEST! The amenities were beyond great! Separate bedrooms and baths for each couple. Kitchen fully stocked with kitchenware and the outdoor kitchen was fabulous! Usually we eat out more that we eat at home when we come but because of the awesome surroundings and beautiful views, and great grill, we ate on the deck area for most of our meals. The only small drawback was the loft bedroom in the main house. The air conditioning, did not work as well as in the other bedrooms but the couple that stayed in the room said that once you got still at night, it was alright. We WILL be back!
We just finished a week at Plumeria and it was everything we dreamed of. The place looks exactly like the pictures but the views are even better! We watched some incredible sunsets from the deck. It was such a relaxing week. The layout of everything is perfect, it is nice to have the bedroom separate from the living area. And the deck is huge, there was so much room to spread out! We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub everyday. We hiked Rams Head Trail which was amazing, it was fun to see the other side of the island. Cruz Bay is only about a 10 minute drive so you are close to all the restaurants.
We could not have had a better experience and would definitely stay here again. It really is a little piece of heaven!!

This is a very comfortable home with a beautiful view of St Thomas and more. Evenings are especially nice.. Wonderful outdoor spaces for eating, cooking, and lounging. Small pool was nice as was hot tub for star.gazing. It was a fairly easy drive to and from Cruz Bay and the north shore beaches.Note parking in Cruz bay is extremely limited, expect to pay for parking or rent from a company that has some parking at their lot, otherwise the taxi service is great too.
About St. John:
Travelers have once again voted St. John their #1 Caribbean destination in 2013, and for good reason. Thanks to the foresight of the philanthropist and naturalist Laurence Rockefeller, two-thirds of St. John has been and will in perpetuity be preserved in its original state, as part of the U. S. Virgin Islands National Park. Its 35 picture-perfect white sand beaches are each unique, with many of these lying within the boundaries of the National Park. As a result, when you turn away from the Caribbean Sea and look inland, you witness unspoiled virgin green hillsides, looking much as they did back in 1493, when Christopher Columbus discovered and named these islands. St. John's hilly terrain, and the literally hundreds of islands and cays that surround it, provide unmatched vistas and photographic opportunities from all around the island. The V. I. National Park maintains dozens of excellent hiking trails, and well preserved ruins from the era of the sugar mills allow you to step back in time to that earlier period. Despite large tracts of undeveloped natural beauty, St. John also offers extensive fine dining options, and the seaside village of Cruz Bay has many interesting shops to peruse.
