Had a great holiday apt was very nice and in a nice area nice pool would stay in the apt again
Very spacious apartment. 2 terraces off the bedrooms with lovely views down to coral bay. A large terrace off the lounge with table and chairs. Not much of,a view from this terrace but it was private enough yo sit and have a coffee in the morning and this was where the sun was at that time. The best thing about this apartment was the location. It's a 2 minute walk to the Grande and the jail pub. It's about a 40 minute walk down to coral bay. The owner was very helpful. I would definitely book this apartment, again. We have stayed in peyia 4 times now and this was the best apartment.
This was my first time going to Cyprus and I managed to rent this apartment at last minute after other holiday plans fell through. I am 48 years old and travelled with two friends of around the same age. First of all Cyprus itself, fantastic! I knew little about the island but the more I looked into it the more appealing it became. There really is something for everyone here with sun, sand, rich culture and history and even an alpine type region where you can cool off. Car hire was easy and driving on the left, brilliant.
The region was exactly what we needed again with lots of variety within easy reach. Beautiful beaches and tavernas, historic castles and monasteries. There is beautiful harbor from where, we took a boat trip to a lagoon and went swimming off the boat. Another day we went to the top of the mountains, very interesting contrast really. Recommend that you take a tour round the local vineyards, do a bit of tasting and learn a bit of local history, great fun. There is also quad bike hire and more energetic pursuits if you prefer.
The village was superb. We got up in the morning and walked to what became our favorite bar/eatery and had cooked breakfast then pick up freshly baked bread etc. We ate traditional one night, international another sometimes higher end and other times cheap and cheerful. There are also two great takeaways. I would also add that I am vegetarian and had no problem finding a healthy, varied selection of food. There is also a British style pub with pool table and sports TV if that’s your thing.
The apartment was excellent and would suit many different types of holiday or group. It has a great kitchen, fridge, washing machine etc and would really suit fully self-catering on a budget or you can just use it as a base to travel from. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. We were there in September and it was pretty quiet around the village and very relaxing. There was a resort about two miles away which we sometimes walked to, passing olive groves and banana plantations en route.
There is also a very nice pool, private to the complex with a lovely sunbathing area, ideal for chilling and a relaxing swim.
We had a great holiday and the apartment exceeded expectations. It's quite a big, comfortable place, well maintained and fully equipped. The complex is very good with a nice pool. It's very close to centre of Peyia, but also quiet and relaxing. Lot's of places to visit like Tombs of the Kings, Aphrodites Bath and local wineries. For beaches, it's just a few minutes drive away from popular Coral Bay or the lovely Agios Georgios which is more secluded. Paphos old town well is worth visiting and the harbour at Kato Paphos is a must. Peyia itself has everything, a supermarket, bakery, great bars and tavernas. All in all highly recomended for a superb holiday in Cyprus.
Well what can i say about this apartment, well for starters it was great value, it was more than i could have hoped for, it was very spacious and very upto date. The pool area was ok but we spent most of our time at the beach as we had a car and went out most days. The apartment was in a small village called Peyia which was approx 2/3 miles away from Coral Bay, so car rental a necessity. You could always get a taxi however for 6/7 Euros each way, if you prefer abit more nite life. There's a nice bar at the end of the road called The Jail, we spent most evenings in there and had many a good evening. If you wanted to visit Paphos town for an evening that would cost 13/17 Euros each way, but Coral Bay has everything you need, from restaurants to nite clubs, supermarkets to sovernier shops. Peyia village however had 2 supermarkets, the better one was at the top of the hill, be prepared the hill is very steep, unless your fit or driving dont recommend this area. It also has a few restaurants and bars, a bakery, a chemist, a post office, a butchers and the local police station oh and a cathederal. Its very much an old town and i think they're only just getting used to the tourists, but its very friendly and very quaint. Well I hope this helps, we had a fabulous time here, thanks Andre for the lone of your wonderful apartment, maybe back next year.
