About Ron and Becky
The construction and the decor of this house reflect both of our professional strengths, mine in decorating and Ron’s as a building contractor. For 26 years I’ve also worked part time as a massage therapist. Ron and I are involved in many ongoing volunteer projects. I work with mentally challenged adults and Ron, a Vietnam Veteran himself, volunteers on veterans projects. We both enjoy people and are looking forward to this new adventure. This home has two separate entrances. While we live in the lower level, we value your privacy. You will not see us except by request or during lawn care or snow removal.
Ron and Becky purchased this House in 1996
Why Ron and Becky chose New Brighton
The big yard, the adjacent park and the often fished creek kept the children and grandchildren busy. Wherever we wanted to go, it was not far from our house. Plus we are blessed with amazing neighbors.
What makes this House unique
This house is located on a lightly traveled street making it safer for children and removed from the noise of the highways. It is adjacent to a park with a creek that is visible, and a short walk, from the house. Enjoy others as they canoe, kayak or fish in Rice Creek as it gently flows into nearby Long Lake. The dining room patio door and the master bedroom patio door both lead to a spectacular view from a 500+ sq ft deck. The patio door in the third bedroom leads to a love seat swing on one of two front of house decks. The patio door in the dinette leads to a small, cozy deck that has often been enjoyed with a morning cup of coffee. Many deer, including numerous fawn twins, have been spotted from all these decks. Rabbits, squirrels, fox, ducks, geese and too many birds to list are usually visible.

Oct. 11-14 stay
Becky is awesome, her home is a great place for three couples and the location is easy to get to anywhere in the Minneapolis area.
This place was spotless and decorated in a way just like your own home. Nice kitchen with everything you need, 2 tables for meals, cards and games and a great area for tv watching (college football).
The only negative of the weekend was tied to Mother Nature not Becky’s home. It was cloudy, cold, rainy and snow. Which prevented us from enjoying the very large deck on the back of the home. Patio tables and chairs, umbrellas, fire pit, gas grill, etc.
Bottom line, we will seriously find an excuse to come back. Thank you Becky.
Relaxing and comfortable
3 great rooms to sleep in, with plenty of "great room" space.
Becky and Ron's
We like the property very much but Becky and Ron live downstairs and this was not disclosed and feel it has to be we would not have booked this otherwise although we never knew they were there it was unsettling. Full use of the pool is not available either another reason we booked this property.
Full disclosure please
Thank you for making us aware of the changes that needed to be made on our site. We have disclosed from the beginning on our site that we live in the lower level, have a separate entrance with no shared living space and that we are very respectful of your privacy. I recently made some changes on our site and not knowing in the process the disclosure of us living in the lower level was deleted. We would never want our guests to feel unsettled. I have made the necessary changes on our site to be disclosed. Our goal has always been to open our home for a fun, relaxing experience.
Thank you again for your feedback

Lovely family get-away
If you are lucky enough to want to stay in this area, go with Becky! She is the nicest home owner I've met. Very attentive, and kind. The house is wonderful. We were there with three generations, from 2 years old to 75, and everyone was comfortable. Beautiful design and attention to detail. Quiet neighborhood, parking is easy. The house itself is a very cool design by an architect who built it for his own use, so it is endlessly interesting to explore. Also, if the weather is nice, there are several decks, which open up to provide additional private space for reading, playing, etc. There is a gorgeous walking trail right at the end of the block, and my kiddo loved running and exploring there. It was 20 minutes for us to drive to the Children's Museum in St. Paul, and 25 minutes to the MN Zoo. 30 minutes to the airport with no traffic (longer in traffic, abut 50). Overall, easy-easy. There is a grocery store 5 minutes away, kitchen is stocked. Becky had coffee ready to go, which I especially appreciated, having a toddler! :) She also had a pristine pack-and-play, which saved us having to pack our own. Everything was clean, having two bathrooms was really handy. Very lovely stay, and would stay again!
Fabulous house and location
Great house and our host was amazing. Wonderful patios and right next to amazing walking trails.
Absolutely perfect getaway!
My family and I had a wonderful extended weekend enjoying this beautiful home and space. The hosts were outstanding in communication and very accommodating in every way. The pool and outside space was gorgeous! We enjoyed a lot of time outside on the deck relaxing. We were completely satisfied and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
