5 minute walk to the Whistler lifts! Right in the village, so walking distance to dining, drinks, ski rentals, etc. Room itself was fine. Overlooked the village, which meant occasional late night revelers to contend with in terms of noise. No big deal, though, they were all just walking past. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay!
This property was great. It had everything I expected and was exactly as I thought it would be. I would recommend this property to others and I would stay here again.
Very nice studio with one queen bed and a Murphy bed with kitchen
very nice and clean place, with a comfortable queen bed and a very useful and comfortable queen Murphy bed for the kids. This is definitely ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids, since it would be too cramped for 4 adults (lack of privacy and room to walk around once the Murphy bed is down). The kitchen was handy, however it lacked a good selection of pots and pans (no skillets or griddle) and only had a small paring knife and one bread knife. More kitchen utensils (measuring cups, cheese grater/slicer, spatulas, large spoons, scissors) would have been very useful. Somehow the thermostat, even at the lowest setting left the room extremely hot and had to leave the window open all of the time to maintain a reasonable temperature. The location is great within the village, walking distance from lots of shops and great restaurants, as well as the Blackcomb Excalibur gondola, and the whistler gondola. The only drawback is the noise of drunken party-goers in the middle of the night just about every night, despite the 10PM quiet ordinance by the city of Whistler, which does not seem to be enforced at all. These were definitely rude people walking on the street yelling and chanting (walking side of the village), but no noise in between units was noticeable. having to leave the window open, made the problem worse. Car parking is convenient underground, with easy elevator access, but quite tight spaces, and expensive at $20 per night. The policy to leave the skis in the storage by the lobby is fine, but a bit inconvenient by having to walk there to get them, and sometimes having to wait several minutes until the receptionist was not on the phone, or checking-in customers. Key card access would have made a big difference. During our last night there, we were awakened by loud fire alarm at 11:15PM apparently some kind of false alarm in one of the elevators, with fire dept responding. The front desk should have done a better job, since there was no indication of the urgency. If it was indeed a fire, some people would have gotten trapped if not properly warned and evacuated. All together it was a positive stay.
A little noisy but really comfortable
Very clean and comfortable. Kitchen had much of what we needed (knives need sharpening, but that's nothing new, and could have used paper towel). Bed was a cozy double with nice linens and we slept well. Could be a bit noisy at night with the pizza place across the street, and was definitely noisy with the adjoining room. Felt like they were in the apartment with us at times. Not sure if not having an adjoining room would be better. Location was ideal; centrally located on the village stroll. Underground parking in-building. Front desk was super helpful and friendly, and they fixed our bathtub leak promptly.
