2 Bedroom and two bathroom condo. The master bedroom has a king, the other bedroom has two single beds, and there is a fold out sofa queen in the living room. (Sleeps 6)

The Ironwood is family friendly & ideal for couples as well. It offers a rec room with ping pong table, large heated outdoor pool and hot tub with panoramic 180 degree view of Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains. This newly renovated condo has an open concept living with natural light in the living room. It has a spacious sunken living room w/ vaulted ceilings/fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to make dinner for the family. We have our own barbecue on the deck or if you prefer to stay down by the pool, there are other common use barbecues available poolside.

We are about 1 km from Whistler Village and Whistler and Blackcomb ski lifts, and about 2 km. from Creekside, which has a gondola to Whistler. The award winning Whistler Golf Club is within 1km. There is shopping and restaurants in Whistler Village nearby.

Our complex is often chosen because it is private and quiet.

About Janice Genz

We have spent many wonderful holidays in Whistler, winters, springs and summers. We are a very athletic family and have enjoyed all of the following at Whistler: downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, cycling, mountain biking, swimming in the fresh water lakes, beach volleyball at Rainbow Beach, hiking with the Peak to Peak experience, canoeing, rollerblading and zip-lining. We live in Burnaby, B.C. and we especially love the proximity of Whistler.

Why Janice Genz chose British Columbia Mountains

We've spent many seasons enjoying Whistler. When we were looking to purchase a property, we were very impressed with the Ironwood. It is very well maintained, spacious and the unit is beautifully renovated. We enjoy a place that has room to move! It's a very short drive to the village or an easy bike ride on the Valley trail in the summer.

What makes this condo unique

The swimming pool is large with a fabulous panoramic view. Ironwood has all the amenities, just a short drive away. So, it is close to the hussle and bussle of Whistler, but peacefully removed from it.

Whistler stay

We had arranged to collect keys from Whistler services & found the property without difficulty, parking our car in the underground car park. The property was in excellent condition & the walk to the village was a pleasant 20 minute stroll. We stayed four nights & there was plenty to do locally with the gondola & chairlifts available, walks through the village & even a bear tour (we saw two). I would certainly recommend this property to other travellers.

Clean and comfortable

This place was great! The pool was amazing as was the hot tub! The view from the pool area was gorgeous. Inside, the rental was comfortable,

Cozy and VERY well equipped with everything needed. As a traveling family with very specific dietary and nutritional needs, the kitchen was very much appreciated. I was able to cook full on meals just as if we were at home, this was huge for us and the fact that I could have 4 burners going with multiple pots/pans and all utensils needed really made it for a great stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. The only concern was that the back sliding door was broken and did not latch and lock. With a traveling toddler this was a bit nerve wrecking upon arrival so I just moved the couch and kept the door blocked so out of sight out of mind. In addition, the pool and hot tub were covered the entire time so they looked like they were closed, we didn't realize we could have used them the entire time until we saw the maintenance guy pulling them

Off to clean and then informed us that he recovers them after cleaning, to keep them clean......but, they are open, you just need to pull back covers yourself. Overall, we would come back to this rental!! 🙋🏻😃

Owner's Response: Thank you for your response! Yes, the hot tub and pool are routinely covered to keep them clean and also to retain their heat during their operating hours. But they are also accessible by simply pulling the covers back. Sorry that you didn't know that. The patio door does close and lock but it needs to be pushed firmly into the door jamb until the locking mechanism can be depressed. I am glad that the kitchen and the rest of the unit were satisfactory. We take pride in keeping our kitchen well stocked with kitchen tools and implements (like sharp knives and a good array of pots and pans etc.) and also the rest of the unit clean and comfortable. Thank you for staying with us.

Exactly what we wanted

I booked this condo for 4 of us last minute, Janice was very accommodating and friendly.

We had a very relaxing two-night stay. The place was very well kept, the heated swimming pool and hot tub

were big pluses. Kitchen facility was great, cooked our two breakfasts with ease. We definitely consider

renting it again in the future.

Home away from home

Wonderful place to stay. We did a mother/son ski trip and found this home to have all the creature comforts. It's very well appointed, cozy, contemporary and very clean. It's clear the owner, Janice, takes pride of ownership and cares about your visit. The other really nice feature was we didn't rent a car but took the bus to the village with our gear every morning. It was very timely and there's a schedule. It's also very quiet. I don't remember the last time I slept so well.

If we ever have the good fortune to return to Whistler this will be our first choice. Thank you Janice!

Lovely accomodation

We had a lovely visit to whistler and this two bedroom apartment was very warm and comfortable. Jan made us v welcome and on more than one occasion, picked up my children and dropped them into whistler! Village! The children enjoyed the swimming pool and we all loved the hot tub. We would highly recommend this as a holiday destination and loved the appsrtment! Many thanks to the owners.
