We are a family of 5 with a 7 year old and twin 3 year olds that wanted a nice place to go near water for our first family vacation without breaking the bank. We looked all over the 1000 islands for a place with 3 bedrooms that felt just like home so the kids would feel safe and be able to sleep at night. This one was by far the most upgraded place we saw while still staying within budget and being very close to the town's attractions and the water. A lot of the cottages we saw were very "old" inside, the hotels were too small, and other townhouses didn't match up to this unit. The kids enjoyed being right on the water and even being able to feed the geese, fish and turtles right off the balcony! The walk into town took roughly 15 minutes with children but there's plenty of cheap parking in Alexandria Bay if driving was needed. The townhouse itself was just as the pictures showed... spacious, clean, upgraded, and just everything you needed. The unit came with towels, pillows, dishes, silverware, cook ware, trash bags, laundry soap, etc... They really thought of everything you would need so you wouldn't have to bring all the extra baggage or make trips to the store (other than getting groceries). Just an excellent rental that I can't say enough about. We had a wonderful time and will be visiting the 1000 islands again at this rental!
We visited in early summer, weather and location were terrific. I grew up in upstate NY and lived around the country while in the military so this was a homecoming of sorts. My wife and I hosted my brother and his wife and my sister and her friend; all enjoyed the stay and the surroundings which were well suited to 3 couples. The unit is clean, well maintained and nicely furnished as the owners are very attentive to detail and strongly desire occupants to have a delightful stay with no issues or shortfalls. The owners are wonderful real people who are readily available and quick to respond to emails or calls and provide a large number of brochures and so on to aid in determining things to do or places to eat. There are stairs that would impact anyone with mobility issues. The location is convenient to town and the highway and very close to the Thousand Islands Bridge to Canada or a day trip to the St. Lawrence Seaway. It is a peaceful place for relaxation and enjoying sunsets.
My family had an amazing week at this beautiful townhome in Alex Bay! My husband and our two sons (ages 15 & 23) are avid fishermen, but rarely have success in Maryland, where we live. They caught more fish this one week than they have since we acquired our bass boat in 1994. The home was lovely and immaculate with a nice quiet setting. It was close enough to walk down to the village and very conveniently located to other attractions. The owners were extremely helpful. Because they use their boathouse, they made arrangements for the use of another boathouse in the complex. They also stored our boat for an extra week while we drove our oldest son to Montreal to return him to University. We really appreciated this generosity, as we couldn't have managed parking the boat where our son lives. As my husband is Canadian, I can't count the number of times we have crossed those bridges, looking wistfully down at the islands, but never having the time to stop and explore. We will definitely be returning to this pristine piece of paradise!
My wife and our two kids (2 and 9 months) spent a week at this lovely townhouse. Every detail was covered and it was equipped with everything we needed for a week-long stay. It was extremely clean and very nicely decorated. There was plenty of space for our family of four, even when our parents came to visit. It's a very quiet property, perfect for a week of relaxing and disconnecting.
The interaction with the owner was a great experience as well...very accommodating!
We had a wonderful stay at the Inlet Harbor Club! The unit is spacious and beautiful and was spotless upon our arrival. Everything was new, clean and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the deck for coffee each morning. Micki, the owner, is such a sweetheart - she made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. The condo is within walking distance to downtown Alexandria Bay. The kitchen is fully stocked, which was perfect because we cooked in most nights. We cannot wait to come back next year.
We were very pleased with the Villa. It had all the amenities that were advertised. The owner made us feel welcome which made our stay just that more pleasant. We would recommend this Villa to anyone staying in the area for a week or more. It's a short walk to Alex Bay with the many shops & restaurants. A visit to the town of Clayton would be a must see too.
Pirates weekend ride to them and Antique Boat Museum, in Clayton where you not only can see history of the wooden boats but you can actually rent a ride on an antique wooden boat Dark island and BoldT Castle are other places to visit and take a boat to.
