Exceptional, loved the condo, very nice stay in Alexandria Bay

  • 5 of 5

I am from Alexandria Bay, so I am pretty informed on where to stay, I have a family of five, and this unit was perfect for kids and adults. We also had access to boat house so we were able to rent a boat for the week. Kids were able to fish off the docks and the deck, as soon as they put their lines in the water they were catching fish.

Mid July 2017 Visit to Inlet Harbor Club #28 - Rental 472589

  • 4 of 5

From the moment my husband & I spoke to Mrs. Koenke, we knew we had chosen wisely. She was friendly & most accommodating. Her rental was extremely clean and well maintained. She provided brochures & information for tours, sightseeing destinations, restaurants, etc. Each time we tried her recommendation, we were very pleased. Plus, she was readily available by phone for my many questions & concerns. Our stay (we traveled with friends) was delightful. We highly recommend Alexandria Bay NY & surrounding area for any traveler: quaint towns, breathtaking scenery, delightful restaurants, and eventful guided fishing trip (we had dinner for 2 nights from the catch of the day)! Mrs. Koenke was right on target when she said we would fall in love with the Thousand Islands.

Owner's Response: Dear Ginny & Bob: Thank you both so much for that truly delightful review. It was a pleasure being able to host you and your guests in our townhouse for your vacation in "The Thousand Islands " . We would love nothing more than to see you again next year. We have been told by many of our guests how wonderful our townhouse was for cleanliness, accommodations , location, etc and as I would say " Plentifulness" in every way. Fondly, Micki Koenke

Great location! Spacious and clean!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four recently returned from our stay over the Fourth of July holiday. We really enjoyed our vacation! The townhouse was very conveniently located and walkable to the town of Alexandria Bay. It felt quite spacious with the high ceilings. The townhouse was nicely decorated with art work from the area and was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a lot of storage available. If we return to the area we would definitely want to stay here again!

First Family Vacation a Success!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 5 with a 7 year old and twin 3 year olds that wanted a nice place to go near water for our first family vacation without breaking the bank. We looked all over the 1000 islands for a place with 3 bedrooms that felt just like home so the kids would feel safe and be able to sleep at night. This one was by far the most upgraded place we saw while still staying within budget and being very close to the town's attractions and the water. A lot of the cottages we saw were very "old" inside, the hotels were too small, and other townhouses didn't match up to this unit. The kids enjoyed being right on the water and even being able to feed the geese, fish and turtles right off the balcony! The walk into town took roughly 15 minutes with children but there's plenty of cheap parking in Alexandria Bay if driving was needed. The townhouse itself was just as the pictures showed... spacious, clean, upgraded, and just everything you needed. The unit came with towels, pillows, dishes, silverware, cook ware, trash bags, laundry soap, etc... They really thought of everything you would need so you wouldn't have to bring all the extra baggage or make trips to the store (other than getting groceries). Just an excellent rental that I can't say enough about. We had a wonderful time and will be visiting the 1000 islands again at this rental!

Family Reunion Site

  • 5 of 5

We visited in early summer, weather and location were terrific. I grew up in upstate NY and lived around the country while in the military so this was a homecoming of sorts. My wife and I hosted my brother and his wife and my sister and her friend; all enjoyed the stay and the surroundings which were well suited to 3 couples. The unit is clean, well maintained and nicely furnished as the owners are very attentive to detail and strongly desire occupants to have a delightful stay with no issues or shortfalls. The owners are wonderful real people who are readily available and quick to respond to emails or calls and provide a large number of brochures and so on to aid in determining things to do or places to eat. There are stairs that would impact anyone with mobility issues. The location is convenient to town and the highway and very close to the Thousand Islands Bridge to Canada or a day trip to the St. Lawrence Seaway. It is a peaceful place for relaxation and enjoying sunsets.

Best Fishing Trip Ever!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family had an amazing week at this beautiful townhome in Alex Bay! My husband and our two sons (ages 15 & 23) are avid fishermen, but rarely have success in Maryland, where we live. They caught more fish this one week than they have since we acquired our bass boat in 1994. The home was lovely and immaculate with a nice quiet setting. It was close enough to walk down to the village and very conveniently located to other attractions. The owners were extremely helpful. Because they use their boathouse, they made arrangements for the use of another boathouse in the complex. They also stored our boat for an extra week while we drove our oldest son to Montreal to return him to University. We really appreciated this generosity, as we couldn't have managed parking the boat where our son lives. As my husband is Canadian, I can't count the number of times we have crossed those bridges, looking wistfully down at the islands, but never having the time to stop and explore. We will definitely be returning to this pristine piece of paradise!
