Winnipecabin - Lovely log cabin w/ water access & hot tub - close to everything!

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,150 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

Log home w/ 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, water access, skiing, close to everything

UPDATE: Just installed a brand new Sundance Spa hot tub!

This is our family vacation home located at Lake Winnipesaukee, just a mile from Weirs Beach and a short 7 miles to Gunstock Mountain! Super location that gives amazing access to everything the Lake Region has to offer!

This is a true log cabin (aptly named Winnipecabin by our little boys) with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large fenced backyard, single stall garage, hot tub, and more! The cabin is just 500 feet (4th house up the street) from the lake on a dead end street with shared access (approx. 25 feet wide) to easily drop a kayak, swim, float, or ice fish in the winter!

The master bedroom is upstairs and boasts a queen size bed with twin bunks, television, and a full bathroom. Downstairs there are two more bedrooms, each with a full bed and another full bathroom with full-size washer and dryer.

The main living area is open concept with kitchen, dining, and living room areas. The living room has a cozy wood burning stove and cable television.

The cabin has a large back porch that runs the length of the cabin and has a hot tub for those cooler nights, gas grill, and adirondack chairs for lounging.

Stepping down from the porch, the backyard is level and very spacious with plenty of room for yard games! Bring corn hole, horseshoes, kanjam, etc and feel free to use the fire pit when the sun gets low and marshmallow cravings hit your party!

There is a large driveway with plenty of parking and we have a single stall garage if you need to store things while on your visit.

The location can't be beat, super close to everything. There is plenty to do in any season with such great access to the lake and skiing and everything else the region has to offer!

We hope you will enjoy our vacation cabin as much as our family does and we're happy to share it with you!

About Wendi & Bobby

We are an adventurous family of 5 hailing from Connecticut. Native's of Nebraska and Boston, we met on Grand Cayman island in our early 20's and never looked back. Since then we've added a few kids and our awesome log cabin up at Lake Winnipesaukee that our boys named Winnipecabin.

Wendi & Bobby purchased this house in 2017

Why Wendi & Bobby chose Laconia

Wendi spent many nights in her childhood up at Winnipesaukee and Bobby, being from the midwest, often visited the large lakes in the Ozarks and Table Rock. When it came time to find the perfect spot for our family to get away to we found it in Winnipecabin and especially considering the insane amount of activities the Lake Region has to offer!

What makes this house unique

I mean, it's a log cabin. There's something special and warm about a log home that we really wanted to have as a part of our family. Whether we walk up from a kayak at the cabin's water access or warm up by the fire or in the new Sundance Spa hot tub after skiing and snowboarding all day at Gunstock, the cabin is a cozy place to bring a family together.

Cozy and adorbs!

  • 5 of 5

Winnipecabin was perfect for my husband’s birthday weekend. Everything was spotless when we arrived and there were even some s’mores goodies and personal touches! Very thoughtful! The house had everything basic we needed (linens, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, utensils, cooking supplies, etc.), which is greatly appreciated when your car is already jammed packed with supplies. Many properties don’t provide most of these items. The wood stove was piping hot as well as the hot tub - huge plus and quite an experience when the temps are in the teens. Everything was really enjoyable and Wendi was fantastic to work with. Thanks for the memorable weekend!!

Cozy and quiet

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. The location is Perfect near the lake. Even though it was cold we manage to go outside and went for a short stroll. We weren't sure what parts of the lake are available to the public. Some of the areas said for private use only. We were thinking about our next visit in the summer. This is a perfect place for a family. The owners responded right away when we had a question about the cabin. We would come back again.

Cozy beautiful log cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was exactly what we expected and more for our girl's weekend. The owners were very easy to work with and had left hot chocolate and popcorn for us. The hot tub was wonderful. It is right out the back door on the covered porch, didn't even need flip flops to get to it. Plenty of linens and it was convenient to have the washer and dryer to use. There is a very short walk to the water where we could put our feet or kyak in. It is close to a lot of activities. We went to Merrideth and ate at Giuseppe's. Very good food and atmosphere. We went for a wine tasting at the Hermit Woods Winery in Meredith. We also went to the Griddle in the middle for breakfast where you can make your own pancakes. There is also a country store nearby. There are a lot of little shops to hit. We were there in the fall but hope to go back in the summer when Weirs Beach and all of it's attractions are open. We were very happy and relaxed there it was an awesome stay and can't wait to go back.
