Clean and close to everything
We were thrilled to find this rental. We are a family of 4 who like to visit NYC and stay in a neighborhood. Everything was as depicted in the photos. Apartment was clean without a toxic chemical smell and fully equipped. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, pillows, etc. also there was storage space to store our things. Rosa was able to meet us a little earlier than we anticipated which was fantastic because we had taken a red eye.
Great NYC pizza nearby—Salvos and Italian Village are our favorites. Suggest stocking up at Fairway which is a 15 min walk, but biggest selection and value (more like what non New Yorkers might be used to).
Close to subways, buses, parks. We hope to stay here again. Thank you!
great space, very well stocked, drafty.
This was a great place for four adults to stay. The rooms were spacious (for NYC) and the apartment was very well appointed with dishes, pots, pans, cutlery etc. Very close to the new 2nd Ave. subway, and lots of bagels and delis around. The bathroom was great! What prevented a 5-star rating was the poor quality of the windows. Even with two space heaters blowing at full heat the whole stay, the entire apartment was very drafty. The main bedroom wasn’t warm the entire time we stayed there. Improving insulation around the windows (even with plastic sheeting and duct tape) would have made it a much more comfortable stay.
Perfect, Cozy, New York Feel!
This was perfect for our group of 5. It was in a very safe a pretty part of the city. There were plenty of great places to eat near by, even an awesome pizza place downstairs. The bathroom was really nice and the beds were plenty cozy. We went in December and they had a small space heater we used in our room that did just the trick. The owners were beyond friendly and accommodating. They worked around our landing times to make sure we didn't have to run around the city with our belongings. I would recommend this space for a small group of young people for sure.
We enjoyed our stay in NYC in our Home Away apartment. It was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us because it was near our granddaughter's apt. It was also a nice quiet neighborhood. The only drawback was it's being on the third floor without an elevator. As older people, this was a little hard for us, especially with heavy suitcases, but we managed.
We really enjoyed being in a more residential part of the city but still close to walk to everything we needed. The subway is also conveniently a few blocks away. Everything in the apartment was as described and perfect for our needs. Definitely recommend!
Nice for 2 or 3 people, but spotty internet.
Pretty nice location, clean, but tiny. It was a little uncomfortable for 4 adults and 2 small children. The apartment was "Ikea cute" bright, and nice art on the walls. Was only able to connect to internet once. On last day Ari said that if I had contacted her sooner, they could have fixed it, but the Tech I had called was only able to get me connected for only 15 minutes, and said, it is a "bad location" for internet with spotty service." The neighborhood is within walking distance of Central Park and felt safe and convenient for transportation.
The internet work great at this apartment, we had no problems with the internet at all. Spectrum is the company that responsible for the cable and internet and as with any other cable and internet there are sometime service interruptions. If the guests would have call us immediately we would have take care of this problem immediately. As if Spectrum would have said to us it is an area problem we would have get the guests a Hot spot until fixed. We never heard from the guests until the check out day. We are not responsible for Spectrum service, we are paying them good money for it, but we had for sure would have take care of this problem if we would have know about it. To give us 3 stars for it is very wrong. It is amazing though the guests forgot to say that they got from us a very late check out without any additional fees and when they email us at he last moment requesting it, it was the first time we heard about the internet.
Just steps away to beautiful Carol Shurz park (Gracie Mansion), Central Park, Metropolitan Museum, Guggenheim Museum, Whitney Museum, Madison Avenue shopping, Bloomingdales, best restaurants, cafes, theaters, subway stations & Buses. And within 15 min from: Time Square, Lincoln Center, Upper West Side-Natural History Museum/ Planetarium, The United Nations, central park zoo and more...
