Our parents bought this home for our family to enjoy! We've had many years making memories and have loved every visit!
Molly Mausser purchased this house in 2001
It's the best!
We booked the Sacramento River House for 3 nights in mid July 2016. We loved it and hope to visit again next summer. The location was perfect. Other properties near by, but was still very quiet and private. The pool was perfect! The home was large, spacious and had all the amenities we needed along with some we didn't need. The home was neat, clean and well maintained. We corresponded with the owner a few times via email and she was always prompt in replying. Yes, I would (and have) recommend the property to other people. We fished on the river from the back of the property, didn't catch much but it was fun!
We booked the home so that we could be with our adult children and our grandchildren for a few days. We had all of our meals there in the home and stayed in the home during our visit. As we came into Anderson the day prior to our booking, we stayed at the Gaia hotel which is a half mile from the riverhouse. We had a great breakfast there prior to going to the house.
The day after we left the property, we rented a patio boat on Lake Shasta.
We have rented vacation homes before. The one difference between those and the Riverhouse was that the Riverhouse was obviously very personal to the owners. Lots of family pictures and collections of things. It was as though they just left so that we could stay a few days. I don't mean that in a negative way, it was just different from what we were used to. Thank you letting us stay!! We had a great time and will be in touch to schedule again!
Our family (one senior citizen, two midlife adults, one teen and two preteens) had a fantastic time at this home on the Sacramento River.
The house was beautifully decorated and equipped, the pool was lovely and refreshing, and the view of the river from the kitchen inside or the hot tub outside is outstanding.
We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the Redding area if it is available.
This house is gorgeous, fully stocked with everything/anything you could want or need during your trip. In addition, it overlooks the mighty Sacramento River. It's close to everything. Molly is a wonderful host. Highly recommend this property. We had a blast staying here for a few days before dropping my daughter at camp.
My friends and I rented the house to be close by the venue for a friends wedding. We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. The weather, sunsets, river wildlife, and pool were perfect. We all wished we had extra time to spend up there. The house easily accommodated our group. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked with all that was needed to prepare our meals. We will definitely consider staying there again.
The place was great right on the river and it worked great for our extended family's stay for a wedding. We had a great time much better then splitting up in multiple hotel rooms!
We enjoyed this house, it was accurately described, clean and hospitable. For our group of 7 adults, 1 child and 1 baby, having only 2 bathrooms - one of them in the master bedroom - was not enough and the house was on the small side. We knew this when we rented it - but it is so beautiful on the river in Anderson, quiet with lots of birds. Plus it has a hot tub and a swimming pool - both features that we wanted in addition to river frontage. We went to Turtle Bay in Redding - which was great for our 11 year old. Safeway is close so we could make last minute decisions and it was easy to shop. I would recommend this to a group a little smaller - or a different configuration.
Best part - location!
Nestled between the Trinity Alps, Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen. Enjoy the beautiful Shasta Cascade Region!
