We are here to make your stay in Nelson as enjoyable as possible- this really is a fabulous place to explore and a great community to be a part of.

We arrived via Nova Scotia, drawn to the mountain community and mountain culture; skiing, snowboarding, boating, fishing, wakeboarding, dining, music, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, are just some of their passions they get to indulge in here in Nelson.

Andrew Jones purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Andrew Jones chose British Columbia Mountains

Our Willows Guest Suite is the perfect lodging with our private one bedroom plus den fully furnished suite. The suite contains a super comfy queen bed, double futon, fine linens, and cozy gas fireplace. Our suite has a fully equipped kitchen and fully anointed bath and shower.

What makes this apartment unique

This is a wonderful setting- privacy in the city with an extensive private wooded area, that backs onto the Trans Canada Trail. We are only a short 10 minute walk to the downtown of Nelson.

We love the views, the chance to be in nature, but still be within walking distance to all that Nelson has to offer.

Very confortable apartment 10-15 min uphill walk from one end of historic downtown, with great views from large windows in living/dining area and from patio. Owner very responsive.

Great home in amazing location, with superb views of the lake.

Andrew was an excellent host. We stayed in Willow Cottage for 2 weeks during the winter. It was warm, comfortable, quiet and perfect for our family of 4. We're coming back in the summer to explore the tracks that are just behind the house. A memorable stay - thanks Andrew and family.

We had a great stay at the Willow Guest Suite! We were there for a family ski trip (2 adults, 3 kids). The suite was perfect for us. We were able to cook breakfast in the morning and cooked dinner there a couple times. It was all very comfortable. I especially loved having the gas fireplace after a day of skiing. Andrew and his family were very accommodating and friendly! We are already looking forward to the next time we can go back to Nelson and Whitewater Ski Area!!

Comfortable guest suite

  • 4 of 5

This delightful guest suite tucked up in the foothills of Nelson provided a pleasant feel of a home away from home. My son and I loved our stay there and will definitely be returning at a later stage . The suite is equipped with all essential amenities ,with beautiful natural surroundings still maintained.Within close proximity to all that beautiful Nelson has to offer .The steep climb to the property offered quite the challenge for us both ,as we cycled and walked through most of our stay, but the trails were practically on the backyard and clearly marked, a hikers delight. Perfect place for a remote holiday ,away from tourism influences and would recommend for escape from hectic city life ,which we were looking for and definitely found there. The property owners were always informative, approachable and extremely helpful .Thanks again Andrew and Catherine for opening your home to us ,offering this wonderful experience.

Regards and take care

Nice Clean Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Great for mountain biking in the summer as one main pathway is just off the driveway. Baker Street is a 10 min down hill walk and a $5.25 taxi ride home, or a 20 min uphill walk.

I have visited Nelson many times but this was the first house I rented and it beats a hotel in many aspects. I highly recommend this property for any couple looking for a weekend away. PS I never had Netflix before but now I must get it after staying here!!

Nelson is the undiscovered jewel of western Canada.

Here you will find stunning scenery, with the largest inland lake in British Columbia, Kootenay Lake, abundant wildlife, natural hot springs, every recreation you can imagine; world class golfing, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking…just to name a few.

We have a wonderful climate, giving us warm summer days, with all the water sports you can imagine…swimming, fishing, water skiing, tubing, or off to the Hot Springs. Then there is winter and our epic powder. “Ski Canada” rated Whitewater as Best Deeps, Best Bowls, and Best Glades. “Powder Magazine” declared it among the best powder in British Columbia.

Nelson has a vast arts community; hundreds of musicians, painters, where you may see their pieces in “ArtWalk” or at the new Museum and Art Gallery. We are a accepting community, otherwise known as ‘alternative’…most anyone will be at home here.
