Charlevoix Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Custom Log Home full of Amenities and Access to Lake Michigan

This is what dreams are made of! This custom log home is situated on over an acre, elevated wooded lot surrounded by trees. Stroll through the woods to the deck overlooking stunning Lake Michigan. This home is located near some of the most beautiful white beach shoreline, located just North of Charlevoix.

Located only short walk to historic Michigan Avenue and downtown Charlevoix you can walk to town or choose to ride one of our several bikes, and be there in minutes!

No cost was spared in building this one of a kind log home, constructed with rare, enormous 1 1/2 foot wide Maple logs and 2 large field stone fireplaces that run floor to ceiling… this home is truly unique. Surround yourself with warm, custom touches throughout, including reclaimed hardwood flooring, forged iron hardware, 2 custom stone fireplaces, a 30' x 8' deck that overlooks the woods and Lake Michigan, deep seating, outdoor furniture and a free standing double hammock for those lazy afternoons listening to the waves lap against the shoreline. But we didn't stop there...the kitchen sports brand new, high-end stainless steel appliances; two coffee makers (pot and single serve), a commercial blender for afternoon margaritas and a fully supplied kitchen for the cook in you!

The living area is awash in handcrafted furnishings including leather seating, warm tones and wood furniture. Three floors of living space and an open floor plan make the home feel much larger than it is. The main level has the kitchen, two bedrooms with queen beds, a full bath, a large dining room and living room .

The third level is where the master suite is located; this VERY private level of the home has custom built closets, a claw foot tub, stand up shower and a king size bed with all new bedding including: high thread count sheets and brand new, designer bedding and hypoallergenic foam pillows. Just outside the master suite is a large reading loft and seating area great for reading or working.

The bottom floor is meant for kids! With two sets of custom log bunk beds, (queen over queen), a full bath, seating area to play the Wii or watch movies as well as a closet full of board games, playing cards and more! The bottom floor also has a walk out patio with seating and the custom field stone fireplace for those cool evenings.

There is plenty more outside, including a basketball hoop, stainless steel grill and custom detached wooden deck for roasting smores over the fire pit, lounging below the tree line or drinking wine with family and friends. Two car garage sports 4 adult bikes and one kid’s bike, and a myriad of outdoor games.

Also Included throughout: all new bedding with high thread count, designer bedding, hi-speed internet/wifi, cable TV, phone, washer and dryer, Wii, chairs for the beach, beach towels, coolers and a second refrigerator for drinks in the garage. You will want for nothing in this beautiful custom home.

About Robert Rodriquez

I was raised in Michigan, but have lived in Dallas since 1993. I have always loved Charlevoix and have vacationed along Lake Michigan my entire life. Having this home in Charlevoix has always been my dream, and now my reality. We want to share our love of our Log Cabin and Charlevoix with others. It's such a rare find, and perfect setting. The best of both worlds includes proximity to town, yet privacy and wooded setting on the beach, is what makes this such a special home.

My husband is from San Antonio. He loves Charlevoix as much as I do and has a unique perspective on it's beauty! Our kids love being here but our active lives makes it impossible to spend the entire Summer here, so we are sharing it with you!

You will completely relax in this exceptional home!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home was perfect for our Minnesota/Illinois cousin reunion involving five kids age 9 to 14 and their respective grown-ups. We could not have had a better location allowing easy access to our favorite Mt. McSauba beach and downtown Charlevoix via foot or bike. The homeowners were extremely responsive and easy to work with, generously sharing their family's bikes and water tubes in the garage.

It's not hard to relax in this beautiful home! We especially enjoyed the hammock and chairs on the deck overlooking the woods where deer came to feed each evening. You'll fight over who gets the master suite, but the two bedrooms on the main floor are very comfortable and roomy. We loved having a whole separate floor for the kids with double queen bunkbeds and their own bathroom. The well-appointed kitchen made it very easy to enjoy great meals, including battered perch from John Cross, Charlevoix's local fishmonger. Loved the coffeemaker and 4-slot toaster! You can plan on baking and cooking to your heart's content with all the pots, pans and bakeware available.

One note: Access to Mt. McSauba Beach requires a 2-minute walk on a steep trail with rope handrails and a set of 50 steps. It was not a problem for anyone in our group, but folks with bad knees or other concerns may find it difficult to manage.

Group of Friends

  • 5 of 5

My group of 6 friends decided to rent out this house for two nights as a winter get-away to celebrate finishing a semester of school and the start of our holidays. We truly could not have found a more perfect house to stay in. There was more than enough room for all of us and plenty of amenities for us to truly enjoy our stay.

The family room is the perfect size for a large group and in the winter time, made for a really cozy atmosphere. We set up a small christmas tree on the table and played some Christmas music through the TV to really set the mood. The kitchen was also a lot better than I expected. There were plenty of utensils for all the baking we did and the counter-bar area really made it easy for everyone to be involved. The large table was perfect for all of us to eat our breakfast and enjoy our dinner together.

The only thing I would say we needed was a little more light in the family room. With it being rather dark, an extra light in the family room would have really helped. Other than that, this is a perfect home for a large group of people!

Extraordinary!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend in Charlevoix in this luxury log cabin and it was a delight. With two couples and 6 kids it was a perfect family space. The kiddos loved having their own bunkbeds/play area and had all sorts of adventures at the beach and around the property (smores on the firepit!). The kitchen is high end which made for excellent meals and we walked 10 min on the beach to downtown Charlevoix for brunch. A day trip to Mackinac Island was also great fun and a short drive. I highly recommend this rental and the owners were professional and prepared for our arrival.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!

  • 5 of 5

Ever wonder if a vacation home could actually be perfect? THIS HOME IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS and has everything, and anything, AND MORE! IT TRULY IS PERFECT. If you love high end appliances, fixtures, furnishings, spacious rooms and an incredible layout...THIS HOME HAS IT ALL! The property is private, prestigious and perfectly situated to everything wonderful Charleviox has to offer. Our family thoroughly enjoyed chartered outings on the lake, wine tastings(house has wine fridge for your bring-home-finds), fishing, casual and fine dining as well as memorable nights spent staying in while preparing meals in THE AMAZING kitchen and playing games around that AWESOME fire pit; all while taking daily walks to the beach (right in the backyard) oh, and the wildlife; deer, birds, chipmunks...SO PEACEFUL, completely relaxing. The

owners, Robert and Amy, were a pleasure to work with, no complaints on any level. PERFECT!
