"I'd take $200,000 for the house and turn down $1,000,000 for the deck" Dad used to say as we sipped bourbon in the cool of the evening watching the canoes across the lake.
After camping in their travel trailer for many years both over the road and at Land Harbor my parents bought a lakefront lot and built a house. When the house was finished there was a party and Mother named the house "Duncampen" as she was so pleased with her home and never wanted to see another travel trailer. If you are "done camping" you might enjoy a trip to "Duncampen" as well.
This house has so much to offer that you really need to see the pictures and the Land Harbor video to appreciate it. After the deck most folks talk about the dining room on the lake, a beautiful glassed room adjacent to the deck and the great room.
The great room houses the kitchen and the lovely solid cherry breakfast bar, a generous gathering area, and a sitting area facing the beautiful floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and Smart LCD TV.
The Kitchen is equipped with all stainless steel appliances including a very quiet dishwasher and disposal and granite counter tops.
The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, a walk in closet, and a master bath with a two sink vanity, a large soaking tub with adjustable air/water jets, and a separate toilet room.
The guest bedroom has a queen size bed with a semi-private bath. The bathroom is accessible from the Great Room and the Guest Room.
The staircase between the Upper and Lower level of the house has a middle landing with casement windows at the top and at the middle for amazing ventilation. The walls and ceiling of the staircase were hand made of tongue and grove wood, built board-by-board by my father and then finished with a medium gloss clear varnish.
The lower level has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and a 1/2 bath-utility room and the other a double size bed and a full bath. The Play Room is a large Smart TV and a huge couch.
