Beautiful 3 bedroom 3 bathroom home set on more than 4 acres on a quiet dead end road, 2miles to Tanglewood. The home features a music room with a baby grand piano, gourmet kitchen, and a screen porch with cathedral ceiling with a brand new beautiful attached deck with love bird fountain and multiple birdhouses, most always in use! The property is dotted with bluebird houses. We always have bluebirds, and they really do make you happy.!

Enter the front door into a two story foyer. To the left, through an archway is the formal dining room, with vintage wall sconces. To the right through French doors, the music room and baby grand piano. The first floor, with every room flowing into the other, features a music room/living room (with wood-burning fire place), family room, kitchen with vaulted ceiling, cherry cabinets, granite counters, double wall ovens, and a jenn-air gas cooktop. Family and guests mingle at the cherry counter with bar stools while culinary magic is created. The inviting formal dining room is painted, as is the rest of the house, in warm earth tone and gem colors. A full bath with shower, and a laundry room/pantry off the kitchen complete the first floor.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a brand-new and open master bathroom, and new closets, with a queen size bed in the bedroom area. (New photos coming soon!) Two guest bedrooms, both with queen size bed share a full bath with a tub/shower. Linen Closet, and whole house fan complete the upstairs. In the summer, the house is equipped with air conditioning units. And we are supply firewood for those snowy winter evenings.

This warm and welcoming home is set back from the road, with extensive split rail fencing, numerous perennial gardens, including a sweet herb garden ready for your culinary creations. With dramatic lighting in every room, and colors reminiscent of a New England Fall or a sunset in Tuscany, this is a place to relax. Filled with light, it is a perfect retreat for musicians, writers, and artists.

About Maureen O'Flynn

Maureen O'Flynn and Claude Corbeil - opera singers/actors/voice teachers. Maureen and Claude are retired international opera singers. ( you can look us up on YouTube.) Claude now teaches voice as does Maureen. But Maureen is also still active as a performer, singing concerts, and performing in musical theater and theatre. Maureen has lived in Stockbridge and her beloved Berkshires all her life. Claude is a Quebecois, from Montreal, and happily fell in love with the Berkshires the same time he fell in love with Maureen.

Why Maureen O'Flynn chose Stockbridge

Our home and property are in one of the most peaceful areas in Stockbridge. We are located equidistantly between the villages of Stockbridge and Lenox , 5-7 minute drives. Tanglewood and Kripalu are two minutes away. We are within 7 to 20 minutes from Berkshire Theatre Group theatres, Barrington Stage, and 30 minutes from Jacobs pillow. Our road is a dead-end, and there is very little traffic. Neighbors and we walk our dogs along the road each day. There are hiking trails close by, the beautiful Gould Meadows with forest trails and lake side pads are two minutes up the road.

The Perfect TangleHouse

  • 5 of 5

If you're spending any time at Tanglewood this summer, rent this house!

As a musician who gets to perform at Tanglewood, having a quiet and comfortable place five minutes from your rehearsal helps immeasurably in making music. Even if you just love listening to great music at the Shed, you'll appreciate the amenities this charming house has to offer.

Need more reasons?:

- The kitchen is well appointed and a dream to work in. Also, the grill is awesome!

- The WiFi was solid so you'll always be in touch (I was able to do my conference calls)

- Bedrooms were spacious and you can sleep with the windows open (very quiet)

- Plenty of room to relax with a great screened in porch

Honestly, this house combined with my wonderful roommates made for the best week ever.

The Perfect Place

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have been renting in the Berkshires during summer months for the past 30 years. This house (home) was probably the best place we have had over that period of time. We rented it for a week, along with another couple, who are close friends of ours. The house is warm and comfortable, well-stocked with anything you might need, and perfectly located for whatever interests you might have in the Berkshires. The owners are lovely, responsive, and incredibly easy to deal with. My only regret was that we weren't able to spend more than 1 week. I highly recommend this rental.
