This lovely, 2-BR condo is perched on the corner of the oceanfront building with a larger lanai that gives you an absolutely spectacular panoramic ocean view that’s more expansive than other units and includes a peek of the azure pool to the side. It is fully air conditioned throughout including the bedrooms, while most other units only have a wall air conditioner in the living room.

The spacious, oceanfront layout features a stylish, upscale tropical décor throughout. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, with queen-size in the 2nd bedroom. The two full baths are also tastefully done, island-style, and remodeled in 2014. It is fully equipped with full kitchen, all appliances, cookware and utensils, stereo and TVs.

After flying thousands of miles, you deserve a well equipped and tastefully furnished unit that you will enjoy, and this is it. You will enjoy the view, and will find everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We look forward to you returning again and again as most of our guests do.

Truly a perfect oceanfront unit

We, a Swiss family with a teenager son, stayed 5 nights in this beautiful perfect condo and enjoyed our stay completely.

Check-in was well organised as we arrived during office hours. It's in walking distance to Kailua-Kona. Parking is included. Has a beautiful view to the ocean and a roomy balcony. We used it every day for breakfast. Everything was clean and well maintained. We even could find beach towels, chairs and boogie boards for us all. If we come to Kailua-Kona again this unit will be our decision again (as long as we are more than two people)

Gorgeous, well appointed and ideally located! We are already planning our trip back to this condo!

We had the most amazing ten days at Kona Reef in Ken and Dia's condo! From the moment we walked in, we were happy with the accommodations. A quick trip to Costco meant that most of our eating and drinking could take place on the lanai which offered the perfect the view of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets. The pool was always a welcome alternative to heading to a local beach.

Conveniently located, we walked into town almost daily to shop, get a cup of Kona coffee or work off the previous night's indulgences. As home base, it was perfect for day trips to Hilo and the Volcano National Park. Everything that we needed locally was truly either walking distance or a 5-10 minute drive.

I could just go on and on about this place. Already looking forward to our next visit! Kudos to the employees of Kona Reef who made sure daily that the BBQs were spotless and the pool sparkling.

Kona Reef Condo

Great condo: updated, well-furnished, A/C, lots of extra items (beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, fishing pole:) Perfect location: walkable to many shops, restaurants, bars, coffee joints. Cozy, quiet, clean. Best porch ever.. Always shady with a breeze:). You could never get all of this for this price at a hotel. Would definitely stay again!

Great vacation condo!

We recently stayed at the condo for 9 days. It was just as pictured, with beautiful views. We have a family of four and this was perfect for us; there was plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We spent a lot of time on the patio, watching and listening to the sounds of the waves. I just wish we were still there!

The property itself was beautiful but ....

There was serious renovation going (hammering, drilling, etc) on in the unit directly below us, to the point that we had no choice but to leave the condo between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

When I mentioned this at checkout, the attitude was, "well, we don't control all the condos so we didn't know". Surely this wasn't a surprise. I feel we should have been told when we booked (just a few weeks ago) or given compensation.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. It is interesting that "at check out" you mentioned the "noise" from a unit below that was replacing/upgrading cabinets, which took one day. It is sad that you never mentioned what a beautiful unit you had or the benefit of air conditioning throughout that only a very few units have. We have no control over when another owner decides to do an upgrade, nor do they coordinate in advance with us to do an upgrade in their unit. As you said, your focus was on "compensation" for something that lasted a day and was beyond our control. Most folks are enjoying the island and all the activities and really are not affected when another unit is doing an upgrade during the daytime hours. We can only apologize for the inconvenience during that one day of your stay, but it is not something that we can predict in advance. Hopefully you would appreciate all the amenities and the upgrades of the unit you were in, instead of focusing on "compensation" for the one day when work was done in a completely different unit, managed by a completely different company. It is a bit baffling that you would rate the unit poorly when it is in reality one of the top five units at the Kona Reef. But then, your focus seems to be on "compensation" rather than truthfulness. Is that the definition of extortion? A bad review if you don't receive "compensation" for work being done in another unit one day? Every other review is rated at 5 stars, because all of those guests were truthful. Your rating is a result only of wanting "compensation" (extortion) for ONE day of work being done in a completely different unit. We do hope you will return as most of our guests do, and be more truthful in any reviews you may post in the future. When you booked on March 4th, we would have no way of knowing the owner of another unit was planning an upgrade of his cabinets. That is totally out of our control, and most guests would understand that. It does not reflect on the unit itself, which is one of the best, and one of the highest rated units. That is pretty sad.
