Thanks for helping arrange our stay in your unit. We enjoyed our few days at Golf Villas. It was too short!!! There were plenty of supplies and cooking utensils. The grounds and rec. center were in good condition. The sliding hide away front screen door was welcome. There was a good trade wind breeze that comes through from front to back.

Lovely, clean and comfortable!

A lovely place! Mauna Lani is convenient to restaurants and food shopping. The apt is very nice, clean and comfortable. The beach club is great, and nearby are lava tubes and petroglyphs. I'd stay here again!

Comfortable and Clean Condo!

My family of 4 recently stayed at Laura and Tim's Condo at Mauna Lani and it was great for our family. Very comfortable space where the kids were able to have their own room and bathroom away from the master bedroom.

We cooked many meals with the fully furnished kitchen and bought groceries at the nearby market. We ate breakfast every morning on the lani and watched golfers as they'd come by. Our first night we walked across the street to the hot tub and pool (the pool was freezing cold).

Our only 2 things we were disappointed with was that the condo is an outlier to the resort so it's disconnected from the main resort life, beaches and shops which made it difficult for our teenagers to wander very far without us. So when we golfed the kids had to stay at the condo. Also the master bedroom bed is very uncomfortable. My husband had to sleep out on the couch 3 of the 7 nights we were there because the bed hurt his back terribly.

But if you're looking for a condo with everything you need and you know your way around the island it is the perfect place. Laura and Tim were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you!

Terrific Property, very well maintained and very near all attractions in Mauna Lani

My family and I stay in this condo, regularly now, often 2-3 times a year. The owners, Laura and Tim Phelps, are both responsive and accommodating. The unit is always in top shape with excellent air conditioning, terrific wifi, a washer and dryer and two large bedrooms. The unit is modern and has nice LCD TV's with cable TV service in the living area and bedrooms. The unit is across from the pool and a short 15 minute walk to the beach club.

I really like that it is a one story and ground floor unit too. I disagree with one of the reviews that I read about the comfort of the bed in the master bedroom. I find that it is very comfortable and even more comfortable than beds that I have slept in five star hotels. The real test of how good a vacation rental is are repeat customers. We are very picky people and we return several times a year and for many years. This is our "go to" place on the Big Island and for good reason.

Beautiful quiet property with great amenities!

My husband and I and our 2 kids ages 5 & 11 stayed in this property for a week in November 2016. It was great! The condo was exactly as it was described and pictured and so close to the pool. It was so nice to have all of the beach equipment (umbrella, chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers, etc) so we could pack up and head to the many nearby beaches. The views from this property were gorgeous and we enjoyed access to the Mauna Lani beach club for swimming and snorkeling. The condo felt like home for us! The free hula/fire shows at the shops were exceptional and we enjoyed them twice during our stay. The only downside about this place was that the master bed wasn't very comfortable, especially the right side, and it might be time for a new mattress. The pillows weren't great either, it was like they were full of air. We made do though and slept okay mostly because we were exhausted from our daily adventures. We loved that the condo had everything we needed for cooking meals, including spices and tupperware and ziplock bags for food storage. We would definitely book this condo again and plan to in the future. The rates were good and the location was perfect! Tim and Laura were very responsive when the AC unit went out towards the end of our stay. They coordinated with a repair company and it was fixed within a few hours. Thank you for making our first trip to the Big Island comfortable and memorable!!

Clean and Beautiful

O2 was our 4th unit we've stayed in at the Golf Villas, and the third as a 2 BD / 2 BA. We have also stayed at the Fairways and Ka Milo developments at Mauna Lani. Golf Villas is our favorite at Mauna Lani, if we don't need 4 bedrooms. I am giving 5 Stars because owners were extremely easy and responsive to work with, their rates attractive, and the unit was comfortable, very clean, exactly as advertised, and nicely decorated and appointed. (Could use a salad spinner - but that's just me! =^D) This is the first unit we've stayed in that had its lanai face the mountains (East), and I actually preferred it more than the view of the others facing the sunset. The mountains are spectacular, and seeing them in the morning was one of my favorite parts of the day. The unit is very convenient to the pool and workout room. Even though Bldg. O is adjacent to the entry road, there were no car lights or road noise to bother the unit. It was just as quiet as the units on the other side of the development. These 2 BD / 2 BAs do have units on an above floor, and occasionally daytime foot traffic can be heard, but not really voices - unless they are out on their lanai.

It is still a five stars rental, but one thing I will note that was of personal, even admittedly picky, concern for us, and so YMMV and it may or may not affect your own stay as much as it did ours. We did not like the Master Bed at all - might even say we hated it. To us, it felt like sleeping on five inches of thick foam encased with crib plastic. We understand the goal of hygiene for the guests, but the plastic mattress protective cover and pillow protective covers made the bed very hot and very noisy when turning throughout the night. Turning was difficult with the body-hugging thick, dense foam - so it took some work to move on it, which made more noise from the plastic. We've not encountered this at any of our other past rentals. The other couple with us did not have similar complaints with the second bedroom - although please note, it has twin beds that cannot be moved together, and if they were any of our other friends, that would have been a reservation deal-breaker.

In review, we loved this place's location, comfort, reservation ease, cleanliness, and view. We would definitely highly recommend it - just with the one caveat of the Master Bed, in mind. That would be the only thing that would give us a second thought for next year.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review.The beds have now been updated after your stay. We removed the foam topper from the King bed. We believe the bed will be much more comforting now. Sorry the bed caused a discomfort. UPDATE: We purchased a brand new mattress for the master bedroom
