I am a stay at home Mom of a toddler and enjoy working full time in this business with my husband, Rick. We love to travel and be able to work from anywhere we are. My dream vacation is to go on a Mediterranean Cruise.
Rick purchased this villa in 2009
Wyndham National Harbor is just minutes from Downtown Washington D.C. The are is loaded with history and beautiful museums. This is one of the new Wyndham properties and is absolutely beautiful.
With all the wonderful amenities at this resort, it is almost impossible not to have a purely relaxing stay. Relax by the pool inside or out, or enjoy some live entertainment. Don't be surprised if you never leave the resort due to the amount of great amenities.
This is Paul Worthington. My review of our stay at your place would be
excellent. From the ease of booking, to the accommodations. The room was
very nice and clean with all the amenities of home ( even nicer ). Nice
king size bed with excellent mattress and linens, perfect shower and tub,
bathroom setup. The kitchen had a full size coffee maker ( necessity )
dishwasher and all the utensils. I had my laptop but the tablet was a nice
feature had I not. Nice TV and comfy sofa. Plus the unit was quiet as we
were there for my kid and her friend to go the the cos play convention, so
lot's of kids there that week. The wife and I did the Washington sight
seeing thing which was great and all the employees downstairs were very
friendly and helpful suggesting transportation and such ( and I mean all,
from the baggage guys, desk clerks, managers ). And they were there in the
evening checking room keys which I liked, to cut down on just anybody
coming in and they had an 11PM curfew, great idea! Everybody was super
friendly and we really liked National Harbor and Washington was great! We
took the train from South Carolina and then got a dose of " Southern
Hospitality " up there. Seriously, it was all great.

This was a great place to stay with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. The unit was clean and spacious. The kitchen was great. The resort has great activities for kids and the pool is fabulous. Concierge was very helpful. It was one of best stays ever!
First time using a timeshare points broker and was a little nervous that we'd arrive at national harbor and that our reservation and $ would be missing. But vacation strategies was totally fine - and the property was great.
Spacious unit, clean, fully stocked and onsite amenities were great. The community had lots of restaurants and places to walk and shop. Would love a real grocery store in the area.
There were two big conventions on both weekends we were there - katsucon and magfest and the place was fully booked and got loud at times. The bathrooms need their own garbage cans and the pillows aren't all that comfortable. We didn't get bugged to sit in on a time share presentation except at check in so that was nice.
We worked through Vacation Strategies, which was excellent and so easy and such nice people! The property is GREAT and maintained in excellent condition, as is the general are of Nation Harbor. The unit was spotless and everything was in like-new condition -- everything we needed for meals, etc. The little "Welcome basket" was really nice -- dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, and excellent coffee! The towels are a bit scratchy, but there are plenty of them! The AC worked like a charm and we needed it! The view from our unit was outstanding -- 8th floor, water and Washington Monument views. The shuttle was really really convenient and made the trek to the National Mall easy -- about 40 minutes, all in, give or take. National Harbor is one of the Potomac River Boat company's stops (as well as the Gaylord Hotel) which makes a day trip to Mount Vernon exceedingly easy. The staff at National Harbor is friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful, and seems to sense when you've just gotten out of the car, after a 7+ hr. drive -- giving you just what you need to get started with your stay, but they don't overwhelm you. The pools are nicely maintained, and the resort's complimentary towels are plentiful. The wi-fi could use some improvement, but it does work; the closer you are (inside your unit) to the hallway, the better it seemed to work. My husband and daughter both had tasks which required wi-fi -- my husband was less impressed than my daughter. The National Harbor area seems to be a success in the effort of integration -- so very many different people, and everyone is exceptionally friendly! We LOVED it!! I STRONGLY recommend happy hour across the street at the Granite City brewery-- ask bartender KJ for his personal creation/off-menu collins -- sweet and hella refreshing! The CVS has just about anything you may have forgotten to pack and that is also where you purchase Metro Smart Cards -- so worth it! The Divine Nail Spa is great -- if you need a hair cut, ask for Kim; she's excellent! And, if you visit SPAGnVOLA Chocolatier, I recommend both the caramel gelato and the mediterranean sea salt truffle -- to die for!!!...and less expensive than the Ben&Jerry's in old town Alexandria, though that was really good too! My husband and I WILL BE BACK, with or without the kids!
We really enjoyed our trip to DC and our stay @ the Wyndham National Harbor Resort. Everyone was very pleasent and accomodating. We would definately consider using VBRO in the future for our travels.
The Wyndham at National Harbor was just beautiful and everyone was friendly. I only had a few issues and those were surrounding there being no washer/dryer and having to pay a fee for towels. Otherwise everything was great and we had an awesome experience.
