Not worth it, won't stay here again

  • 2 of 5

Pros- the pool is awesome, the rooms are ok, it's close to Walmart, great views from every unit

Cons- the elevators are horrible and do not support the volume this place gets- expect 5-15 minute wait times to get up or down, the parking deck is terrible- park on floors 2-4 and you are ok- I think it goes up to 12! I was on 9 and it took 10-20 minutes to just unwind and leave the premises. The amenity fee is a joke- $30 a day for pool and beach access- just factor that into the nightly rate when you compare. My dishwasher was broken in unit 1513. The beach area is super crowded. It's right next door to pineapple willy. There are so many chairs and umbrellas for rent in prime spots in front of condo and there are so many people trying to cram around these empty rental chairs- it's terrible and anything but relaxing .

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We were overall impressed with our first stay at the shores. The property was clean and we had no problems at all. The elevator was very slow but that is not a fault of the owner nor does it take away from the overall appeal of the condo. I would definitely deal with the owner again. We plan to visit again.

No problems at all

  • 4 of 5

I was skeptical at first because there was 1 review from 2 years earlier when I booked. Then a week before my family and I arrived another review popped up. Some people are very knit picky. Me though, I am not! I had read several reviews of shores as being loud, obnoxious at night (like spring break year round) and the elevators reviews. Yes, the elevators did take a while. I don't recall waiting for more than 5 minutes for one besides the day I arrived which was on a Saturday- the turnover day for most condo's there. There are two more elevators on the property, but the one closest to our condo was the main one that took you to the lobby, pool, etc. so, yes, it being the most used elevator expect a wait. But it was not a problem for our family. The manager said there was not a reserve parking space but there was. Although, I couldn't find the one she told me, there was one with the condo number on it at the place she told me it was located and it was right by the elevator so that was a plus! We had a great stay and nothing was dirty. It wasn't decorated to the nines but it was just enough. My family was pleased and my husband wants to go back to shores next year. On Saturday night, the condo did get loud, but not any other night. It could've been from cabin fever due to rain. I loved how since it is not managed by shores all we had to do was call and see if the room was ready and walk on up. No waiting in long line for check in. Now the bracelets line was a little long. It was no big deal. Some people are to picky. There were no stains at all besides on the carpet where it looked like they greased the sliding doors, but the curtains covered that up. I cleaned before we left even though it wasn't stated to do so. For the money, it was perfect for my family.

nice room

  • 4 of 5

When we arrived, refrigerator was running loud. I emailed our contact, he called and told me to adjust setting on both fridge and freezer and leave freezer door open for 15 minutes. We did as told with no change. Fridge wouldn't cool enough. Continued to run loud for entire trip. Some stains on carpet and bedspreads, we removed them from beds, a few cracked tiles, and needs touch up paint. On the flip side it was roomy and had enough pots to get us by. Great view of pool and gulf. The good outweighs the bad. Would rent again, but not graduation week. Partying all hours of night with screaming, music & horn sounds. Too many teenyboppers for me.

Very Happy

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time staying here. This was our 5th time to stay at The Shores if Panama, and as always we were not disappointed. This unit was very clean, which is top on my priority list, and we would definitely stay again.
