Cabin is 1 and 4/10 mile up dirt/gravel road, one lane in places, so not recommended for motorcycles, minivans or 2wd pickups since these have relatively poor traction on dirt/gravel. Front wheel drive does fine. Best views are near top of the mountain but that means driving uphill to get there.

Unplug in a remote location
It is important to note that there is no Wifi, no TV, and spotty cellular. If you are looking to UNPLUG in front of a fabulous view though, this is the place for you. The description does mention the challenging road to get to the property, but you should be forewarned that the 1.4 mile gravel/dirt road is STEEP and has several hairpin turns. I would not recommend trying to arrive in the dark! And I wonder what our trek would have been like if rain had made the road slick/muddy.
The rental rules document that you receive after making the reservation states that the host does not provide toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap, bath soap, shampoo, etc.. Before buying this stuff in advance, check out the property first, because someone before us had left some of these supplies behind.
The kitchen is missing some utensils that would make cooking meals more convenient: no spatula, no cooking spoons, no tongs. There was a bad smell in the bedroom and dead bugs all around the cottage (which we assumed meant that we were the first ones to stay there in a few months). We did inform the host of kitchen and bedroom items, so these may be addressed already.
Loved the cabin and the view is absolutely beautiful!
Loved the cabin the view is absolutely beautiful
Takes a drive up a dirt road to get there but well worth it for the view, moutain ranges for miles. Relaxed on the deck and soaked in the mountain breeze and views and enjoyed the "just us" time away from the family. . Had basic kitchen setup so didn't have to eat out all the time. Besides, dinner on the deck with that view beats any view in a restaurant!
