Enjoy rich Cabernets in Alexander Valley, exquisite Pinot's in Dry Creek, original art, shopping and cultural events in San Francisco, etc.
My home is in a private exclusive neighborhood surrounded by Vineyards. There is a large covered furnished patio; a newly remodeled gazebo with wet bar in the backyard; a beautiful raised patio in the front yard for enjoying a bottle of wine under the shade of the redwood trees. There is a newly remodeled gourmet professional kitchen for cooking and entertaining at its finest!
It is the perfect home for adults weekend in wine country or a family get together. Fenced in yard with covered patio terrific for an outdoor evening meal and a bottle of Sonoma County wine on the patio.
Minutes to the Mayacama Golf Course and the Windsor Golf Course, Seven minutes to the Santa Rosa Airport (STS).
We began this adventure with home exchanges. We have two homes here in Sonoma County and were able to do non-simultaneous exchanges. After many successful exchanges, we realized that the universe is full of amazing people who would respect our home and treat it as their own when they were visiting. We decided to take it one step further and sign up for this VRBO option so we can share our home with more terrific guests, like you. As such, you will find every amenity you could possibly need for a terrific weekend getaway. If you forget an item, don't worry, it is probably somewhere in the house! Want to host a dinner party while you are here, you will have access to every item you will need to do so.
The property is secure from active wine country critters by indoor/outdoor cats Chloe and Lana. They are the active organic pest control affiliates for the property. If your visit is short, you will likely not see them, but if your visit is longer, they will warm up to you and come say hello eventually.

Because you get everything you could possibly need in a vacation home!
This home is in a beautiful neighborhood with large lots, ours being a third of an acre being the smallest lot. So the homes are far apart from each other and private, yet you are still nestled in a loving community of professionals and wine makers. We built a raised flagstone patio in the front for enjoying a bottle of wine under the shade under the redwood trees in the summer. The patio in the back is covered and is terrific for enjoying the summer breeze, even in the rain, where you can still sit outside and not get wet.
We were so comfortable and happy in this house. It was very convenient and close to so many things. We used the kitchen a lot for meals and it was set up great. Wendy even set up 2 wine tastings for us at her favorite places after I inquired about suggestions for wine tastings! Super comfortable beds and we even utilized the backyard and patio for outdoor meals and relaxing. Great neighborhood and beautiful house. We were there for the Ironman race and all 4 of our racers were well fed and comfortable - they all finished! Thank you so much for a great stay!
Great house for vacation. It was a better choice than a hotel.
Dont cram your self in a hotel room when you can rent a house like this. Very comfortable beds and furniture, nice kitchen for cooking, outside patio-gazebo also a hit.
Our wine vacation was just wonderful, having a place like this to stay at made it comfortable, relaxing and fun. The beds were comfortable, the home inviting, the backyard so relaxing after a day out and about. We had five adults and we all enjoyed our time and appreciated the cozy house to be in versus a hotel. This was the perfect option. We also enjoyed having the two kitties to pet and give attention to. We are pet lovers and as we had friends at home taking care of our pets, we were more than happy to take care of Wendy's pets. We will plan another wine vacation in the next few years and will look for this VRBO option, as it's location for all of the fun we took part in was exactly what we needed. We highly recommend this home to others.
We stayed here for my daughter's wedding weekend. Wonderful home, great beds, awesome backyard for relaxing or entertaining family and friends for party or BBQ . The outdoor facilities had everything we needed, from covered patio tables, couches, to the wonderful wet bar gazebo with a wine cask cooler!! Wendy is a terrific and accommodating hostess!
Place was perfect for my girlfriends (from all over the country) to stay here and enjoy wine country. Windsor is close to SF, beautiful wine country and some great places to eat. The house was perfect for our stay. The back yard was great to hang out and catch up! Wendy was very accommodating!
The back yard was a perfect gathering spot - both sun and shade. We were so thankful for the bar in the middle of the yard, as we could be outside when it was too hot to be under the covering of the patio. Very comfortable furniture. My ONLY suggestion, would be to leave a bit more room in the freezer for guests to put their stuff in there. LOVED the quiet neighborhood. Our nephew is in a wheelchair and since his parents brought a ramp, it was super easy for him to access the house.
There are so many Wineries within a 15 mile radius. The small towns of Windsor and Healdsburg both offer weekly evening summer concerts that are family friendly. The Hot Air Balloon Races launch from the local Windsor Keiser Park June 15-16, 2013. And we are right in the middle of all the Vineman activities. If you are looking for water recreation, Lake Sonoma is up the highway and we have lots of parking for a boat or RV right on the property. There is also the Russian River which is 8 minutes away, where you can spend the day fishing, swimming, floating, kayaking and canoeing. The closest coastline is Bodega Bay and Jenner which is about one hour west. It is a beautiful drive past wineries and cafes to get oysters at the coast and watch the sunset from the shoreline.
