Paradise found! Unit #611 occupies the prime location at the Royal Mauian. It is on the top floor and centrally located in the building. This incredible vantage point provides gorgeous panoramic views of the ocean, beaches, mountains, and neighboring islands. At this true ocean front unit, you will feel completely relaxed by the soothing sounds of the ocean and refreshed by the cooling trade winds that are a trademark of Kihei. In the morning, step onto the private lanai and enjoy breakfast while watching sea turtles grazing on the reef below. During whale season, be enthralled by the spectacle of Humpbacks breaching, fin slapping, and nurturing their calves just a short distance from shore. In the evening, be dazzled by a spectacular Maui sunset while barbecuing dinner on the rooftop garden. At night, experience the pleasure of being lulled to sleep in a comfortable bed by the soft sound of waves lapping at the shore below your window.
The Royal Mauian is Kihei's premier resort, superbly situated at the ocean's edge on a smooth promontory between the fabulous Kamaole I and Kamaole II beaches. A beautiful reef with many large sea turtles, perfect for family snorkeling, is situated directly in front of the building. Kamaole I and Kamaole II are long, sandy beaches that are great for swimming, body surfing, boogie boarding, sun bathing, or just taking a leisurely stroll. For your added comfort while at the beach, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella are provided, as well as beach towels and a cooler.
This unit is beautiful, with tile flooring throughout, cherry cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless appliances. An enchanting mural by famous Hawaiian artist Lanakila, depicting the legend of the creation of Maui, adorns the living room wall. The unit is spotless and meticulously maintained. Tropical style ceiling fans are located in the living room and both bedrooms. In addition, tri-zone A/C is located in each bedroom and main living area. High speed WiFi is provided for your convenience free of charge. Amenities within the Royal Mauian complex include an oceanside heated pool and rooftop barbecue area. The condo is only steps away from your favorite beach activities and across the street from great lunch spots, dining, and shopping.

As owners at the Marriott Maui Ocean Club in Kaanapali, we always stay there a week and then come down to Kihei for a more kick-back week. We've stayed at several places in town and evaluated dozens more this time before selecting this place. WOW! Were we glad we did. All agreed this is the nicest place we have stayed for several reasons.
1) It is literally on the beach. Sitting on the lanai you can watch the amazing Honu cavorting right off the beach. Sunset views are breathtaking. You have a 180° view from Molokini to Lanai. It's a short walk to either Kamaole #1 or Kamaole #2 for soft beach sand or starting point to snorkel back up to swim among the Honu and the myriad of colorful fish and coral that live right off the shore. Fall asleep to surf.
2) We don't spend much time inside but it is very comfortable and beautifully appointed - very island feeling. Everything is there including all kitchen utensils, a variety of pots, pans, dishes, glasses, towels and more. They also have boogie boards, beach chairs and coolers for your convenience. Washer and dryer included.
3) It was unusually hot and humid when we were there so the fact that this unit has air conditioning is a real plus. You may not use it all the time because leaving windows open front and back provides great flow-thru air and the ceiling fans really help, there were times when we blessed the owner for installing A/C.
4) Location. Aside from being right on the beach between two of Kihei's best beaches, it is centrally located making it easy to get anywhere. It's an easy trek to Wailea, Makena Beach, O'o Farm, Ocean Vodka, Kihei Friday Night, Hana, up country and the airport. It's also right across the street from a couple of our favorite eating spots - Cafe O'Lei and Maui Thai, there's a Whalers market across the street, a couple places to rent snorkels and Keiko at Maui Custom who has tons of well priced hand-made swim suits and will make a special one for you within a day.
5) The rooftop BBQ is awesome. Of course it's always fun to BBQ on the island but the 360° views from here are amazing. Not only do you have the entire ocean view to the west but right up the hill inland is Haleakala. While usually cloud shrouded, we had two evenings where the air was clear and we had a full view of the mountain.
6) Parking is convenient right in front of the building, the rest of the facility is nice including the pool & beach chairs on the lawn.
This place won't disappoint.
Breathtaking view from the lanai. Sea turtles seen every morning from the lanai. Two beautiful beaches outside the door. Very nice stores and restaurants across the street. Well stocked kitchen. Clean. First time we used VRBO, very satisfied with information provided and Tammy's responsiveness in our planning of our trip. We had a wonderful stay.
The Royal Mauian was by far the best place we have ever stayed while on vacation. My wife and I chose Maui to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary with our 13 yr old daughter and her best friend. We used VRBO in the past and were happy with the accomadations and were truly impressed with our condo at The Royal Mauian. We arrived on August 31st and stayed through September 10th 2016. The condo was everything that was advertised and more. If we needed anything, it was just a phone call away and we were accommodated. The view from the lanai was incredible, we snorkeled at the reef right in front of the condo with the turtles and all sorts of fish and even saw an eel. The grounds are well kept with easy access to beaches on either side. The swimming pool was clean, secure and had comfortable seating. If you need anything snorkel gear, underwater cameras, organic food, clothing etc. rentals and retail shops are just across the street (walking distance) at reasonable prices. There is a concierge available daily on the first floor to help plan your week or just answer questions about things to do or places to go etc. Kihei is a great location kinda central to everything making it easy to get to local interest. We plan to go back to Maui again and will definitely be using this condo again if it is available.
I took my mom to Kihei as a Christmas gift. I've stayed at different condos and houses there over the past five years, and condo #611 at The Royal Mauian was by far the nicest place I've stayed. The view? Sublime. The cleanliness of this condo? Best by far. The fully stocked kitchen, comfortable King beds (or two twins in guest room if you prefer), quiet A/C in all three rooms, all surpassed my expectations.
Additionally, Tammy, the condo owner, was such a dream to work with! She always replied to me in a timely manner, no question was too small to address, and she was kind and helpful. The condo is so wonderfully stocked with kitchenwares, spices, great bedding, towels, beach paraphernalia, laundry soap, shampoo & conditioner, books on Maui, paper products, etc., that we saved a fortune on purchasing those items we usually have to on the island. A previous guest left behind Aloe gel and Qtips that we made use of. It was like being at a home away from home! The deck chairs and table were so comfy, and there's a dining table with seating for four inside, as well as four breakfast island stools (many units had no table), and both bathrooms were spotless & nicely updated.
Being on the fourth floor and traveling with someone with disabilities was a non-issue due to the elevators. Many properties don't have that luxury. The unit and the property were wonderful, and we met some delightful people we remain in contact with.
The Royal Mauian is a high-end property with the best views and location, and it's run like a tight ship. If you're looking for a quiet and clean place to relax, this is it, and you won't go wrong renting from Tammy! Dead center top floor condo. Others staying there were jealous of our beautiful condo! I can't wait to bring my husband along for a return trip.
We had a great time in unit 611. The view was outstanding, and the condo was immaculately clean, and very well appointed. We've stayed in 4 different units at the Royal Mauian, and this was our favorite. We're definitely going to try and book it again for next summer.
Our recent trip to Maui was our 7th time on the island but our first time staying in Kihei. Usually we stay in the Lahaina/Kaanapali area but we wanted to try something new. We were so glad we tried Kihei and the Royal Mauian. Staying in this condo was the best family accommodations and vacation experience we have had on the island.
The condo was picture perfect! The kitchen was fully stocked and nicely updated with every type of cooking pan, pot, measuring cups, and spices one might need to cook a meal. My one and only complaint about the kitchen was that the oven took forever to heat up (I had to really plan ahead and work on my patience when using it). Both bathrooms were also nicely updated and fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, amazing Hawaiian soap, hairdryers, toilet paper and plenty of towels. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The décor was very island-appropriate, comfortable and clean. The washing machine/dryer was a life saver (and the laundry detergent was provided)! The best part about this condo was the view! The 6th floor view was breathtaking. We saw countless turtles each day from the lanai. It was not “if” we saw a turtle but “how many” turtles we could spot each time we were on the lanai. Also, the sunsets were amazing each and every night. We ate almost every meal on the lanai because it was exactly the type of view one would dream of when planning the perfect Hawaiian vacation.
The location of the condo was perfect for our young family. We have a 5 and 7 year old and we spent countless hours on the beach. We preferred Kamaole Beach II (over Kamaole Beach I) since we had amazing sea turtle experiences. Both our daughters swam alongside several sea turtles during our stay. It is an experience we will never forget! We found that the optimal beach time was between 9am-noon before the winds and waves really picked up. Though Kihei was quite breezy, it was never annoying. It was the perfect amount of breeze to cool off the condo. We used the AC only when the breeze would die down and the condo got a bit stuffy, usually around bedtime. We also enjoyed the shave ice and cinnamon roll establishments, located across the street from the condo. Yummy!
To sum it up we would absolutely, positively come back to this condo for our next family vacation! It was exactly what we needed for the perfect Maui experience!
This perfect Maui location has you steps away from the Kamaole I and II beach parks where you can enjoy snorkeling, stand-up surfing, beach volleyball or simply relaxing. There are great places for lunch and dinner just across the street from the property. Contact us for more info.
