1950's Cape style home recently refinished.
Full kitchen, dining room, study, large backyard.
Perfect for Williams alumni events, ski vacations, and theater festival.
The owner and her family of four reside in New York City and have spent the last 12 summers in Williamstown.
Jessica Hecht purchased this house in 2011
The house is lovely, in excellent condition, and within close proximity to town.
As an alumni coming back for the weekend, this was the perfect rental. The cape house is off of the main street into Williamstown, but easily within walking distance. The house is well-kept and very spacious - three bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen and living room. In addition to the space, the owner is absolutely wonderful and was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be renting again!
If you're looking for quiet, relaxed comfort, this charming mid-sized '50s style cape tucked away just a couple of blocks from Williamstown's Main St. is the place for you.
With three bedrooms and 1 full and 1 half-bath, there is plenty of space for six guests, with a large, inviting living room, ample kitchen (everything you need to prepare all of your meals) and dining room. There is also a spacious backyard, though one might wish for more seating and a dining area outside (there is no grill either).
Plenty of parking in driveway; and if you bring bikes you can store them in the garage. One of the best amenities is the location, within walking distance of Williamstown's shops and restaurants, and of course the Theatre Festival (how pleasant to walk to and from the theater in the evening—beats Times Square any day!). Overall this house is a gem (it was spotlessly clean when we arrived), and a great place to stay for your Berkshires vacation.
We absolutely loved our stay at this home - the house was impeccably clean, and Jess was a gracious host who made the stay easy. The house was surprisingly spacious on the inside, with a large living room, dining room and kitchen that allowed us to spread out when we wanted to. It's a very short walk from town, but on a nice quiet block with nice neighbors who waved to us as we walked by. Overall a great stay - we will be back!
Great house with ideal location for visiting Williams College. Bedrooms are large, and the kitchen worked well for us. We enjoyed the large back yard. Owner was responsive via email and gave us all the information we needed. Our only recommendation would be to add a shower to the upstairs bathroom (currently just a bathtub).
As a group of Williams alums visiting for the weekend we were very comfortable staying in this house. It comfortably slept four of us, and had a well-outfitted kitchen for cooking. We were walking distance from campus which was great, and a quick drive to other local attractions. The owner was friendly and responsive via email and made the entire process seamless. I highly recommend this property.
We came to see a show at Williamstown Theatre Festival, which was wonderful. Loved the convenience of walking downtown from the home. During our stay we enjoyed the tranquility of this roomy, clean comfortable home and its charming backyard. The owners are nice and accommodating. Staying here was just the icing on the cake to our visit to Williamstown, nestled in the Birkshires!! I would highly recommend.
