Second house from the sand! Walking distance from restaurants, nightlife, cafes, sailboat/kayak rental, beach volleyball, and more. The place also has a spacious patio with ocean view and a BBQ. Listen to the sounds of the beach while barbequing.
This beach property is located just 50 footsteps to one of the family friendly and picturesque beaches in Santa Cruz. Twin Lakes Beach is a gorgeous sandy beach with nearby restaurants and a coffee shop. There are local venues for entertainment and fire pits on the beach at night. We have added a lot of our own personal touches to the place--we are especially fond of our 'beach glass' floor before the den. We have heard that the place has a real 'beachy' and local Santa Cruz vibe to it.
We really wanted a little getaway in Santa Cruz where we could get away from it all and just relax. This place was perfect! It has a patio deck, putting green hole, and a little croquet set in the backyard! It is an inviting bungalow with lots to do and steps from the beach.
On a busy street but you don't hear it in the house. The putting green in the front gets sun, and the deck in the back is quiet. Walk to Verve. On Saturday morning a community of ukulele players gather on the beach near the volleyball courts. Walks on the beach. Great sunsets with views of the lighthouse! The back room is a studio apartment with a kitchenette- we had snacks, wine and beer stored in there, and real food in the front kitchen. We had 5 adults, an 18-month-old, and a dog and everyone was comfortable!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home by the beach. The house had more than enough space for our group of 5 to relax. The kitchen was perfect to cook breakfasts. The house was less than a minute walk to the beach. We could not have picked a better home to spend our Thanksgiving vacation. Hope to visit again!!
This is a really cute little bungalow-sized house just steps from the beach and right around the corner from the Crow's Nest. We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday here and had a blast. The layout seems funky at first, but it actually works really well for a weekend vacation, with the kitchen, dining room table and sitting areas in the front, and TV room, deck and another mini-kitchen in the back. You can open the doors in the back to create a great indoor/outdoor living space that makes it a cool place to chill and enjoy the Santa Cruz breeze. The BBQ and the kitchen supplies could use a little upgrading - if you want to cook anything at the house, it makes it a little challenging. Main kitchen microwave did not work. Beds, furniture, bathrooms and decor were all good though. Loved the hardwood floors. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again if I wanted to visit Santa Cruz.
The house was very spacious, gorgeous, and clean. It had everything needed. Had a wonderful stay & a close walk to the beach!
House was a great location! Very close to the beach and we could walk to many places. The Crow's Nest was very yummy to eat at. The sleeping arrangements of the house worked out great. Lots of space for just the 6 of us! Highly recommend!
What a wonderful property. The house is nicely decorated and stocked with essentials. The side studio was great when our little one went to sleep; mom and dad could enjoy a glass of wine without worrying about waking him. There are plenty of beach toys and chairs available, and with the beach less than 400 feet away you will need them! Plus our two year old has found an interest in golf having explored the front yard putting green every day. We would not only want to stay again, but could see this beach house become a family tradition each summer :-)
