Excellent stay in beautifully renovated townhouse
We made a last minute decision to take a week’s holiday in Ireland and found this townhouse by chance. We’re so glad we did, it’s brand new - I think we were only the second people to stay there. Location is great, just five minutes walk into town with all the bars and restaurants and it’s on a really quiet street where you can just catch a glimpse of the harbour.
We really loved the leather couches in the sitting area and it was so nice to come back after a day touring to light the stove and kick back with a few beers. We didn’t do much cooking as there were so many good places to eat out, but the kitchen has got everything you need with a huge fridge/freezer and a large cooker. The beds are really comfy and the walk-in power shower was fantastic. The owners have done a great job renovating this old house. We definitely want to come back again.
Our first review on this site and we're delighted you enjoyed your stay at The Townhouse in Cobh.
It is close to some great Irish pubs and restaurants and I know you enjoyed a few scoops in our favourite bar The Roaring Donkey which is only a short walk away.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Loved it, as nice throughout as the photo shows,
We stayed a week over Christmas, received a fantastic welcome, the place is spotlessly clean and crafted to a beautiful finish. We didn't eat in much as the town of Cobh is just outside the door, but the cooking facilities are great, can't recall how many gas rings, but a brilliant kitchen to cook up for 6-8 people.
3 bright bedrooms, no expense spared on the beds, ensuring a great night sleep.
Bright bathroom with large walk in shower.
The lounge is as nice as you see in the photo, a lot of effort went into designing and sourcing the materials, Wall mounted TV's in a number of the rooms, at least 2 downstairs and one in the master bedroom, all main sports available.
The Owners were available and very helpful with advice, but not in your face, we loved it and look forward to a return trip.
We loved the freedom over a hotel or B&B especially due to its proximity to so many food and drink options, 2-3 minutes walk, a car is not needed and of course you can mix it up and cook in too.
Thanks for your kind words about The Townhouse,Cobh and we're really delighted you enjoyed your stay over the festive period.
We hope you managed to find time to taste a few creamy scoops at The Roaring Donkey !
