About the property

Two bedroomed, four star cottage with pretty garden for up to four people,WIFI .

With its sunny, south facing garden and everything close at hand Miller's Cottage offers very well presented accommodation for people seeking a restful holiday. I have described the cottage here but quite happy to receive calls or emails directly with anyone wishing further details. A small front garden leads to a porch where, off the entrance hall, is a good sized living room with wooden floors and comfortable soft seating. The kitchen is well fitted with plenty of units to provide good storage facilities, together with a range of kitchen appliances. There is also a dining area by the kitchen window looking into the back garden. From the kitchen, there is a pleasant and large, south facing Conservatory with a door onto the patio with outside furniture. The garden has a shingle covered area and has well stocked flower beds. There is also a tall, ancient wall at the bottom of garden covered with rambling clematis. Inside wide, sensible stairs from the hall go upstairs to a spacious front bedroom with a king sized bed and to the rear is a twin bedded room. The upstairs bathroom has a WC and over bath shower .Free WiFi

Small well behaved dogs are very welcome.: Dogs particularly enjoy being at Millers Cottage as there are wonderful walks which start from the door of the cottage.

Handy cinema close by for rainy days.: The cinema shows up to date films.

Long lets available at reduced rent: We offer long lets especially over the winter. The rent is very much reduced to reflect the period spent in the cottage.

About Beverley Carter

We are a local family who live near the cottage. We bought the property so my parents, who live in Scotland, could visit for long periods to see their grandchildren and take them to school etc. The cottage is used by friends and family too and is much loved. We built a large Conservatory onto the back of the cottage and sitting in there you would never believe you were in the centre of this lovely small town.

Beverley Carter purchased this cottage in 2004

Why Beverley Carter chose Woodbridge

We were so fortunate to find Miller's Cottage. We wanted somewhere in central Woodbridge that had somewhere to park. We also needed somewhere with stairs that weren't difficult to climb - my dad's legs couldn't manage to climb the stairs in cottages we had looked at! We also wanted a lovely sunny garden with a view to add the Conservatory. Other things that were important to us was to have a family kitchen with a dining table, spacious bedrooms and a place that had a lovely feel to it. When we viewed the cottage we knew it was for us. Most people agree with, us with most of my guests being returners (record 17 times).

Set back lay-by for parking as available. Also a public car park diagonally opposite Miller's Cottage. At time of writing £2 a day or £10 weekly ticket for car parking. Like any medieval town, parking can be a problem but fortunately we have this car park diagonally opposite. The bus station is a five minute walk away and frequent trains to London/Cambridge/Norwich changing at Ipswich means you can leave your car but still get around.Free WIFI connection.

First class holiday destination

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, a real home from home. We were fortunate to get great weather, so it was a pleasure to sit out in the conservatory in the evenings. The house is really spacious and well equipped, and Woodbridge is just stunning. We stayed with our 18 month old son, so it was great to be able to walk to the park or the shops in just a few minutes. I cannot recommend Miller's highly enough, thanks a lot Beverley!

Happy time in Millers Cottage

  • 5 of 5

How lovely to find a cottage in an excellent location (right in the centre of Woodbridge) and with great facilities. I really enjoyed and appreciated the quality of the soft furnishings and curtains, just added that touch of class not very often found in dog friendly properties. Really great. Would recommend most highly.

Lovely Cottage

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful cottage, clean, comfortable and well furnished. Parking no problem as car parked opposite. Well located for shopping and walks. Raff or Shih Tzu also loved it especially the conservatory and garden!

Only drawback, couldn't find DVD and no Freebies, so limited channels to watch. To books so caught up on reading. In all a very good holiday.

Property was excellent one of the best cottages we have stayed in and all inclusive (Milk, Tea, Coffee, Biscuits Flowers for my wife's birthday) and heating was on when we arrived and none of those hidden costs of silly deposits etc. Cottage was fabulously decorated and fitted out and we could have quite happily stayed there for a few more weeks . Great communication from owner. Highly recommended. Thank You.

Woodbridge is known for its history, picturesque views and welcoming atmosphere. It has been chosen as an settlement for over 1200 yrs, as it nestles near the head of the tidal reaches of the River Deben. Other Landmark sites include the much-photographed historical Tide Mill and Buttrum's Windmill. Across the river is the Anglo-Saxon burial ground of Sutton Hoo operated by the National Trust where archaeologists discovered one of the greatest treasures ever found in Britain. Miller's Cottage is just a two min stroll to the centre of Woodbridge. Here you will find a host of independent shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and even a lovely independent cinema and theatre. Being so close to the coast also means that there are a number of beaches just a short drive from the town such as the sandy shores of Southwold, Walberswick and the coastal town of Aldeburgh. Walkers can also enjoy the miles of forest and river walks and explore the nearly 40 miles of beautiful heritage coast..Free WIFI..

Other Activities: Dog walking, no need for a car
