This home offers a wonderful experience for vacationers. It offers privacy yet convenience for a perfect holiday getaway.
The house was fab we all loved it so much!!!!!!!!!! Everyone wants to come back next year!!
I agree with all of the other reviews regarding amenities, so I won't repeat them. All I can say is that we had our entire family of 12 (my parents, my family, my sister's family), and we had room to spare. The house is beautiful, and the location couldn't be better. Spectacular ocean views, walking distance to several legendary beaches and surfing locations, to a grocery store and to the food trucks. What more could you ask for?
After we begrudgingly left the house, the accommodations for the rest of our trip couldn't compare. Wish we could've spent the whole trip at the house.
If I could give it six stars, I would!
This is a wonderful, large home. It is clean and well maintained. There is plenty of room to spread out. We just returned home from 8 nights in this place. Our family, and our friends from Kansas City had a great time. The rental manager, Bitsy, is easy to reach and will get you all the information you need.
Things you should know. There is a Foodland grocery store about 2 blocks from the house. It is really convenient. There is easy beach access about 100 yards down the road for those who do not want the "adventure" of walking across the lava rock. There is world class snorkeling and scuba diving going on around the house all the time. There is a huge 2 car garage you can park in. In the garage, there are some beach toys, chairs, and a couple of umbrellas to make your time at the beach more enjoyable. Additionally, the washer and dryer make traveling "light" easy to accomplish.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, and cookware. While nothing is cheap in HI, being able to cook for a large group saves a few hundred dollars per meal. The enormous kitchen with its "fancy" appliances, along with the gas grill, made meal times easy for everyone.
The downstairs kitchen exterior walls/doors open all the way to make the house feel like it is part of the outside. It is a really neat experience. The furniture is all very comfortable, and sturdy.
This home will make you feel at home. Feel free to rent without hesitation.
We had a rough start arriving to this home with no electricity. The transformer near the house blew out and Hawaiian electricity had told the owners power would be restored early morning. Well that didn't happen. The owners were so accomodating bringing over their generator to keep the refrigerator running so our groceries wouldn't spoil. Finally the power was restored early evening. The home was well equipment with kitchen and bathroom necessities. The bedrooms have air conditioning which made life much more comfortable considering Hawaii's humid summer months. We spent most nights enjoying the sunset from the upstairs balcony with a nice glass of vino. The home sits behind lava rock with access to the beach on the right. We felt this was a saftey benefit especially traveling with our 6 year old boy who would love nothing better to run out of the house and jump in the ocean. We would definetly come back! Thank you to Bitsy, Dawn and Jim.
We came to Hawaii for a family reunion with all the adult kids and grandkids. This vacation home is in the perfect Hawaiian location and is an architectural gem inside and out. Our family spent a glorious week living, laughing and loving together in a perfect tropical retreat. The entry way was nothing I've ever seen. It looked like a posh hotel lobby, and it just got better. The family room and hugh kitchen just stunned you. The whole back of the house opens up so you feel even though you're inside, you're outside. The beautiful backyard is grassy with lots of room for the kids to run around. The view overlooks a lava promontory with the ocean in front of you, Shark's cove where we went snorkeling daily to the left, and a beautiful pristine beach to your right. The upstairs master and secondary bedrooms are nicer than the finest hotel. The master bath was amazing with a fabulous tub overlooking the ocean. Air conditioning in each major bedroom which definitely is a huge plus. Foodland and Coffee Bean a 10 minute walk. Walimea Bay a 20 minute walk. Our family had truly a storybook vacation thanks in large part to this amazing home. I want to thank the owners for opening up their home and making our vacation truly special.
We are close to Shark's Cove, the best location for snorkeling on the North Shore, when the water is calm in the summer months. Be sure to visit Waimea Bay and Waimea Falls, stroll the beautiful white sand beach, or enjoy the bike path. Groceries, restaurants, golf, ocean activities are all close by.
