Airport/ car hire Information: : Airports: The nearest airport is Tivat, which is just 24km from the apartment. Montenegro Airlines fly to Tivat direct from Gatwick three times a week during off-peak season and every day during the summer months. You can also fly into Dubrovnik in Croatia. It's only a 70 km journey and the drive is very easy. There are many more airlines that fly into Dubrovnik (Easyjet, British Airways, Croatia Airways, ThomsonFly, FlyBe, etc) so you can find cheaper flights than the Tivat route (though in summer the roads may be busy). Car Hire: All the usual car hire companies (Hertz, Avis, Sixt etc) are available at Tivat & Dubrovnik. When booking at Dubrovnik please remember to check they are happy for the car to be taken over the border and ask them to give you a green card. You will need to show this at the Croatia - Montenegro border along with your passports.
Directions to Milocer: : The drive from Dubrovnik: On leaving Dubrovnik airport turn left and keep driving over the Croatia - Montenegro border, straight through the town of Herceg Novi (all on the same road) until you see the sign for a car ferry, and a lane filtering off to the right. Take the car ferry (about 15 min and Euro 4), then turn right and keep going. Drive towards Budva and continue another 5km until you see signs for Milcer. At the HEC Hotel turn left and you are here. Please go to reception and they will show you to the underground parking and the apartment.

We had a great 2 weeks in Montenegro in Robs apartment with our three kids aged 5,9 & 12. The apartment is on the first floor which gave us a view out to sea. It was very spacious with 2 bathrooms which we needed with 5 of us.
The pool was fantastic for the kids and big enough for everyone on the complex.
It's handy having the hotel just down the road to ask for advise and to handle and problems we had.
My only criticism of the apartment would be that it needed more crockery (as we did eat in quite a few days) and darker curtains in master bedroom. I'm a very light sleeper and struggled with the light but this may not bother others.
But in all we had a fantastic time and it was a great place / location for visiting other parts of the country and popping into Croatia.
Would I recommend - yes definitely.
We spent the 2nd week of a two week holiday in Rob's apartment in Sveti Stefan. The previous week we were in Kotor. We had a fantastic time and loved every minute of it. The apartment is big, modern, has a huge balcony overlooking the pool which our kids adored. The place was spotlessly clean and in excellent condition and there is even underground parking which is most unusual. The walk down to the beach only takes a few minutes and there are lots of little cafes and restaurants. Sveti Stefan island itself is superb but sadly our budget didn't stretch far enough to even have a drink there. All in all we had a great holiday in a beautiful apartment. Thanks again Rob!
Gorgeous apartment, great little village a short walk away with a beautiful beach. Apartment was perfectly clean, very modern. We had a great time.
My wife and I and our 3 kids stayed here for a week. The apartment is big and spacious with fantastic views of the pool area and out to sea. Everything went very smoothly and we wanted for nothing. Sveti Stefan is gorgeous and the walk to the island is charming. The kids loved the pool which is just outside the apartment and we were able to keep an eye on them while we were on our balcony as it overlooks the pool. The hotel does lovely food and they have free WiFi. Highly recommended. 5 Stars!
I'd just like to say what a pleasure it was staying at this apartment. The accommodation was first class, clean, well-equipped, roomy and far superior to any other self-catering apartment we've stayed at over the years. The service was friendly but not over-effusive, it all worked smoothly and efficiently from being met at the airport by the hotel-arranged taxi right through to our journey home. A totally trouble-free holiday. We're already considering a return trip next year.
The beach is within easy walking distance and is gravel rather than sand. However, the pool was clean and spacious enough to stay at the complex all day. The nearby hotel provided pleasant evening meals, whilst there are also local restaurants within easy reach. The nearest town is a fifteen minute bus ride, although we were unlucky that the day we chose for a ride into town it took fully forty-five minutes, leaving our youngest with a ruinous car sickness that spoiled the day out. The only sizeable supermarket for provisions for self-catering is at the end of the bus journey, so if you're relying on the local corner shops for foodstuffs then there's limited choice and it gets expensive.
Walking into this spacious, clean and well furnished apartment was only the excellent start to what was a truly memorable experience. The views from the generously sized balcony were to die for! For the first couple of days we didn't want to move but it's a beautiful area and there are plenty of interesting places to go if you do like sightseeing.
We have never been to this area before but I believe this is only the start of a true 'love affair' with Montenegro and especially the Sveti Stefan area, which proved to be the most picturesque and interesting of the areas we travelled to. Nothing could surely match sitting on the balcony with that view at sunset, having a glass of excellent local wine and deciding which of the many good restaurants to visit that night, or even staying in (great kitchen with all you need) and cooking a simple meal so we could enjoy the ambiance. Thank you so much Rob for your support and advice and especially for letting people use you wonderful second home.
The Blue Horizon apartments, beautifully situated in a peaceful green haven overlooking Milocer village and beach out to the turquoise clean waters of the Adriatic. With majestic mountains (green all year) as a backdrop, this part of the coastline is a popular holiday destination for British, Russian, Scandinavian, Irish and local tourists and has been a favorite of the jet-setters since the 50's, notably Sophia Loren, Liz Taylor and even Princess Diana and Prince Charles stopped here on their honeymoon.
