About Jan

We're a family of 4, including 2 kids ages 12 and 13. Both husband and wife attended Stanford, and somehow ended up back here -- just a stone's throw away. We love our home -- it's a great place for playing, entertaining and relaxing. It's on a private cul de sac with lots of greenery and nature. Our area is fantastic -- perfect for walking, hiking, biking and swimming and sports, it feels like a country vacation -- and yet it's just a short drive to San Francisco. We hope you'll love staying here as much as we do!

Nice house in Menlo Park

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this spacious ranch home while visiting family. It has a large open kitchen & family room. Plus a large formal dining room where we could host Christmas dinner. It's in a nice neighborhood that we enjoyed frequent walks. The owners were very easy to work with.

Wonderful ranch home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this very comfortable ranch home while visiting family near by. We needed an accessible home for both my in-laws and my daughter.

It had a large open kitchen area and family room. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped.

There were 3 nice size bedrooms with comfortable beds and 2 updated full bathrooms.

There is a shopping center with a supermarket within walking distance.

We would definitely stay here again.

A great place in Menlo Park

  • 5 of 5

We and our 2 daughters stayed here for 4 weeks in 2011. We liked it so much we came back for 2 weeks in 2012.

The house was comfortable, spacious and relaxing, with greenery everywhere. The recently remodelled bathrooms are especially nice.

It’s in a nice neighborhood, and was convenient to everything we wanted to do in the Bay Area.

The girls loved playing in the yard. There is also a playground 1 block away.

We would definitely return!

Lovely Menlo Park House

  • 5 of 5

We rented this lovely home over the Christmas holiday -- and it worked as great alternative to multiple hotel rooms for our family of 5. The house is well equipped and large (both inside and yard) by CA standards. It has a fabulous modern kitchen connecting to a comfortable family room. With three bedrooms, this is a very good rental option for families with children.

The location is excellent for anyone who wants a base of operations near Stanford or on "the Peninsula" south of San Francisco. You will almost certainly need (or want) a car to get around, but shopping, restaurants, sights, and recreational opportunities are all nearby.

The owners were helpful and responsive. I would recommend this rental highly.

Our house is a 1 minute walk to a playground, basketball courts, and a beautiful open green field. 5 minutes of walking gets you to the Dutch Goose, a famous Stanford hangout, and other local restaurants and bars. Our neighborhood shopping center with supermarket, Starbucks, WildBerry Yogurt and other shops and restaurants is 10 minutes' walk away. Walk for 15 minutes the other direction and you are on the Stanford campus. Head out the door on walks in the hills with gorgeous views, and fantastic bike rides. Everywhere you go you'll see a wide variety of trees and greenery. We love it here, and think you will too!
