About Dianne Benair
Native Angelenos, Dianne & Danny have made Studio City home for 20-something years. We are in the music business, have a passion for nature, animals and the arts. We share a spirited curiosity of the world and enjoy sharing our home with fellow travelers. Our vision was to create a hideaway, tiny yet functional with warmth and style. We aspire to make this your happy place + cozy + safe + a comfortable place to lay your head at night.
Dianne Benair purchased this Guest House in 1994
Why Dianne Benair chose Studio City
Close to everything! Studio City is regarded as the "Jewel of the Valley," attracting actors, musicians, and writers and serving as a hub of the San Fernando Valley and a gateway to the Westside and Hollywood. Close to Trader Joes, Gelson's, Whole Foods and several other groceries stores. Our neighborhood favorites for coffee are Peets & Alfred Coffee. Nearby is “Sushi Row”, some of the best Japanese food in L.A. Katsuya, Asanebo and Iroha are must-visit establishments for sushi connoisseurs. Indulge in mind-blowing ice cream at Salt & Straw and McConnell’s then work it off on the trails of Tree People Park. In the mood for a fancy cocktail? taverns and gastropubs dominate Studio City's nightlife scene. Check out Black Market Liquor Bar, a popular gastropub featuring Top Chef's Antonia Losfaso in the kitchen, further cements Ventura Boulevard's ascent into untragic coolness (don't miss their brunch!) Laurel Tavern bar menu is just tasty, don't miss Idle Hour—a gigantic whiskey barrel that serves as one of the Valley's more whimsical bars, Federal Bar is a cool 1920's bank building serving gastropub fare, lots of good beer and upstairs you can see live music or comedy, best date spot The Fiscal Agent The NoHo Arts District, is an eclectic area of theaters, coffee shops and bars. Pedestrian-friendly, Metro-connected district has put North Hollywood on the map as the Valley's cultural hub, off-the-beaten-path comedy clubs and Laemmle movie theater. Sunday morning walk 3 city blocks over to Studio City Farmers Market (

Cozy, quiet place
I told the owners I did not want to write a good review because then I would have a harder time booking for my next stay. Well, I booked my next stay before I wrote this review.
This is place is comfy. The bed is great, It's quiet, It's in a neighborhood but right off a main street. There is off street parking; a rarity in the LA area. The room has floor to ceiling glass doors leading to a nice patio where i took my breakfast. The shower is GREAT!! And, the owners are wonderful. They are friendly, engaging, and very conscious of the comfort of their guests. I even had cookies in the room when I arrived. I'm going to try to stay here each time I go to LA
Universal Studios is 3.70 miles away about a 7 minute drive
