3 Bedroom one level Home 2 Bath, This Great Home is available now for your Vacation. Located within 1 to 3 miles to some famous Beaches, Magic Sands , Banyans and Downtown Kona. Quiet and Safe Neighborhood.During high surf, listen to the roar of the waves from here.Pick coconuts from 2 Samoan Coconut trees in front yard.Need recommendations, ask me...I'm always happy to share any information to make your Kona holiday wonderful.
I have been blessed to live in the Islands for about 30 years.Moved to Kona in 1989 from Oahu, raised two daughters in this home.
I own JUST UKES, an ukulele retail shop with 2 locations. One on Alii Dr here in Kona and another on the Kohala Coast @ THE SHOPS AT MAUNA LANI.Decided it's time to allow other families a chance to experience this home and great neighborhood. This home has always been a great 'GATHERING PLACE'. And maybe you'll learn how to play the Ukulele while you are here. Two Ukes and books will be in the house, and a special discount to guests who decide to buy one of their own and take a piece of Hawaii home with you...
I live in a separate studio under this home.Very private from main home. Most guests have a hard time finding me! So Home, driveway and pool are all yours. So far everyone has enjoyed having me on site. At first I was nervous about how this might affect the beauty of this vacation rental. It's been great from both sides! You have a personal Concierge, and I meet wonderful people on vacation! And then there's Kirby,my wonderful Sheltie!!! Loves everyone.... So if you love dogs,he's your doggie fix,if not,you won't even know he's on site.I take him most everywhere with me.
Remember I've lived on the Big Island for along time,so I can direct you in the right direction.
Anne Reece purchased this house in 1989
My 2 daughters learned how to drive on this street ,and so have many others after them. This home has always been a gathering place for friends and family and I hope it will be for yours also.Close to many activities, town, beaches, and I am always close by for any questions you may have.I only have this one property so you are my priority.
pool with an access known as Beach Access, because you can walk into it like you would a beach. Many children have learned how to swim here and it's also great to sit in a chair and read a book or strum an Ukulele....
Kitchen has room for many cooks. 6 burner gas stove and 2 ovens.
Slate in main living areas,so don't worry about coming in wet from the pool.
Watch the waves from kitchen bar area, while you are sipping your coffee.I usually walk down to see them up close.I also walk at night in this neighborhood, very safe...I hope you take the chance to experience this home away from home....
I came to Kona to compete in Ironman World Championship and our wedding. This house accommodated 6 adults very comfortably. The location of the house was only 5 miles away from the transition area, so it was very convenient although traffic was crazy during that time. We can cut through the neighborhood to get down to Alii Drive, so my family was able to walk down there to see me on the run course twice.
The owner, Annie, is very nice and accommodating. She gave me a ride to the start of Ironman in the morning of the race! She was always available and willing to help. On the first night, we found ants on our master bed. I called her & asked for extra sheets & she came right up trying to resolve the issue. She got us ant traps, spray & new bed sheets the next day so we didn't have any more issue after that.
The house doesn't have AC so it gets hot during the day but very comfortable in the morning. We stayed for 10 days in October, and it was hot to sleep for few days but I was comfortable on other nights with ceiling fans & floor fans. We enjoyed the big kitchen & pool in the back yard very much. The day after the race, we had a wedding, so I had about 12 people over for refreshments by the pool. It was just a perfect setting.
Overall, we had a wonderful time in Kona & would love to come back agin in near future!
It was our first time back to HI in over 40 years! We had a wonderful vacation
staying in this beautiful, spacious home. We had an ocean view from the front deck and a gorgeous view of a custom beach pool in the back yard. We were in the pool everyday after we came back from shopping, or a beach day, and/or after a late night dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants in town! The design of the pool and large deck allowed all members of the family an area to relax, swim and if you wanted to, play volleyball with Kirby, the Hero dog! The home is located in a quiet, lovely area of Kona, close to shopping and the beach. We loved the owner, Anne! We were able to experience attractions in Kona and the surrounding areas that we wouldn't have known about without her extensive knowledge of the Island. She was our "go to" person when we needed suggestions for specialty shops, restaurants and spectacular performances at a Luau. While we were in Kona, Anne suggested “Swimming with the Dolphins”, a beach with sea turtles, a lavish beach bar located just a few feet from the ocean, and a trip to an active volcano on the Island. (to name a few of her recommendations). I, also, bought a Ukulele from Just Ukes! Thanks for all your suggestions, for your amazing hospitality, and for providing us with a vacation that will always be remembered. We highly recommend this home for your vacation in Kona!!! Anne, you treated us like Royalty! Thank you!
Our family had a great time staying at Annie's Hale! The pool was fabulous to cool off in and our little boys loved the sloping shallow end. The place is very convenient to downtown and the main road for excursions.
We are from Oahu and dropped in for some island hopping and we loved that Annie allowed us a three night stay. Her place was stocked with great beach and pool gear and the kitchen stocked too!
We can't wait to come back next time. Kona is pretty warm and the lack of air conditioning was the only down side but the pool was a savior! We played in the pool in the evenings and the neighborhood was relaxing and quiet.
What a wonderful stay we had. From the moment we walked into the house until we left. There wasn't anything we had to get, other than food, for the house. It was TOTALLY supplied, even down to toilet paper. The pool area was lovely with everything you would need for being poolside, even a CD player and CD's. This house is located in a lovely area of Kona and has an ocean view from the front porch. Close to shopping and open air markets. This home is well maintained and very clean. Anne is such a beautiful person and sees that her tenants are well cared for. Highly recommend renting this house for your trip to Kona. There were no disappointments. Anne you get an A+++.
This property in a perfect location with an awesome owner. Anne was wonderful and welcoming! The house was open and roomy. Th kitchen has everything you need and more! The pool was perfect for our family. We have kids ranging in age from 1-11 years and it was perfectly suited for all of them! We will definitely stay again!
We were delighted with our stay at this lovely home. It is a short distance from the beach, and Kona village. The hostess was friendly and charming, and very accommodating to our needs. It was great relaxing around the pool...or floating on it or in it! There was plenty of room for the six of us to gather around the table on the patio, or to retire to the privacy of our rooms. I highly recommend this house for a relaxed visit.
