From the beautiful stone patio with its bubbling waterfall, firepit and 8-person hot tub, to sweeping views of the Columbia Gorge, to the luxuriously-appointed beds, every one of your senses will be pampered. Casual yet sophisticated, this home's four bedrooms and 3 baths make it a great choice for a family, multiple couples or corporate groups.
The king-size bed in the King Bedroom faces a large window with a view across the Gorge, while the Skylight Queen Bedroom has its own full bath. The Little Queen Bedroom shares a 3/4 bath with the King. Two sofabeds (queen and twin), a daybed and a twin-over-full bunk round out the sleeping accommodations. The maximum occupancy in this rental is 14.
A very well-appointed kitchen with full-size, stainless appliances makes meal prep a breeze. In the nearby town of Stevenson you'll find fresh, local produce, meats, a wide array of superb Washington wines and local brews, and just-caught, cut to order fish to bring back for the grill!
But if you'd rather not cook, there are great local restaurants a short drive away. Stevenson is tiny, but packed with shops and services to meet nearly any need, and you'll find a bookstore, a wine bar and a terrific brew pub (Walking Man) that's definitely worth a stop. Regardless, you'll want to hurry back for a toast to the day as the Gorge turns crimson in the sunset.
The location provides easy, year-round access to hiking, boating, fishing, skiing and more, yet the setting itself is secluded and free from the noise and distractions of everyday life. Surrounded by national and state parks, wildlife reserves and the magnificent Columbia River, with its world-class windsurfing and kiteboarding, you'll still be less than twenty minutes from charming Stevenson, and about 12 minutes from the iconic Bridge of the Gods.
You will find all sorts of up-to-date guide books and hiking maps, but you'll be tempted to stay put in the great room, with its stone fireplace, a 52-inch plasma TV with satellite cable and streaming Blu-ray, thanks to the reliable, high-speed internet. You'll also find a cool little internet radio in the sun room, near the telescope and ping-pong table. iPhone and Android docks will keep all your gadgets charged, too.
Babies and children welcome! You'll find a crib, booster seats, Pack-n-Play and age-appropriate toys and games.

This was a lovely big home, secluded and private. The beds were comfy and the table big enough for our group of 11.
We were in the Gorge for the ice storm in early February 2017 and this house was cozy and (thank goodness) large enough for us to stay sane when we really couldn't escape! There was plenty of space for three generations of my family+ to eat, sleep and relax. The kids LOVED the bonus basement space and it really enhanced our ability to enjoy the house in such unusual weather. We would love to stay here without a big storm so we could really enjoy the Gorge and the home, but we still managed to have fun.
This house suited our party of 7 very nicely. The kitchen was well appointed and we enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table. There was, however, evidence of mice in the house. Cell reception was poor so I e-mailed Michael @ Vacasa about it and never received a reply. I understand that rodents can be an issue, especially in a location like this, but the lack of responsiveness really bothered me.
This home was wonderful, and I would love to go back again. Very spacious. The only thing that could be improved was the hot tub, it never seemed to get very hot. But the view was absolutely gorgeous!
The property and area are quite beautiful and the house is well apportioned. Great hot tub and views.
Unfortunately we had an issue which made the stay less enjoyable.
The heating did not work when we arrived and it took several hours for the property manager to get back to us about this issue (about 10pm). The next day it was expected that we stay and wait for the HVAC repairman to fix it which took several hours and cut into our time to explore the area. In addition, the breakers in the house continually blew when we used the space heaters or other devices, even in the middle of the night. It was a bit frustrating having to deal with this and the manager never thanked us or apologized or offered to comp us for our time dealing with their property.
We stayed here with 9 adults and 3 babies under 1 year old for Thanksgiving weekend this year. It was a perfect location. The property is beautiful. It is located up the hill from the river with a beautiful view of the cliffs and small area of the river visible. We even had some deer visitors one day.
The house is as advertised, lots of space and the overall house is well kept and comfortable. There were plenty of rooms for everyone and could have easily slept more if we had utilized couches or wanted to share bunk beds, etc.
The kitchen worked well. It was well stocked with kitchen basics including lots of dishes and pots/pans. There really isn't any food stored there so planning on bringing your own (flour/sugar/oil/etc). There were two separate eating areas, but the main table was big enough for all of us.
As far as kid/baby friendly - it was really easy. They have one pack-n-play, a small bassinet, and booster seats. It was easy to let the kids crawl around without worrying too much. There is also an assortment of kids toys there which was nice.
A great place for family events, hiking, and relaxation. Oh yeah, the hot tub was amazing! (They have plenty of beach towels there to use)
