Come enjoy all the great Central Oregon outdoor activities and Black Butte Ranch amenities while you stay at one of the ranch's original custom built cabins. The soaring wood beamed ceilings and natural light make the main level a cozy place to relax by the wood burning fireplace and watch the wildlife stroll by. In the distance past the towering Ponderosa Trees watch the golfers play. The half acre open lot offers a nice feeling of privacy.
The main level living and dining areas open to the kitchen. There is a door to the big wood deck with gas BBQ and expansive built-in bench. Enjoy the collection of books and the ranch rec facilities as there is limited electronics - you aren't here to be inside! It is a true western feeling here with the wood walls and beamed ceilings. The kitchen is equipped with double ovens and all the added cooking extras for entertaining your friends and family.
The master bedroom on the main level has a wood burning fireplace and nice bathroom with sunken tub. There is a beautiful antique vanity that compliments the bathroom.
The upstairs loft is open to the downstairs. There is a nice desk area, TV and outside balcony to enjoy the peaceful wooded area.
Two additional bedrooms are upstairs, as well as, a bathroom with shower. One bedroom is equipped with a queen bed and the other with two twins. Each bedroom is filled with a collection of cherished family antiques.
If you need to clean-up after enjoying the abundance of outdoor activities from maybe a day of hiking Black Butte up to the ranger station, a round of golf on one of the two ranch courses, fishing over at the Metolius in Camp Sherman, biking the miles-and-miles of paved trails, canoeing the lake or relaxing by one of the ranch 4 pools, there is a full sized washer and dryer for your use. If you're into being pampered, make a reservation at the award winning spa. The lodge restaurant and bar offers incredible views and delicious meals. The lodge and recreation centers also offer WiFi if you just can't live without being connected.
*At check-in, please be aware that the resort will collect an $8 daily fee for every guest 7 years and older for access. Also, please note that motorcycles are not permitted within the ranch or on any of the Black Butte properties.*
Deschutes County Tax Certificate #77
The house was clean, the bed we used was really comfortable and aside from needing some updating, ( like having wifi) it was an overall enjoyable experience.
This rental was between ok-good. It was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. However I was surprised there was no wifi and it would have been nice to have a little more and cleaner patio furniture. But the price was very fair and I would stay there again.
The air-conditioning works extremely well during hot afternoons:)!
It was a very nice rental. Loved watching the deer feed outside the house. It was
very peaceful. We all enjoyed out stay.
Good place to escape all those things you do in the city
Upon arriving on Friday afternoon, we immediately saw there was a major construction project going on right next door. This was not disclosed to us at any point. The sounds of a jackhammer right outside the master bedroom from 7AM to 5PM does not make for a very restful stay. We confirmed with Black Butte that between 7AM to 5PM, construction was permissible. We tried calling Vacasa 3 separate times immediately but all we got was their voicemail message. So we left three separate voicemails on Friday WITH NO RETURN PHONE CALL.
I took video and photos of the bulldozer, jackhammer and other construction happening about 20-30 feet from the master bedroom. I also took photos of mice feces at different locations throughout the property. There was an over-powering stench coming from the dirty fireplace and chimney that was unbearable.
We were also required to pay an undisclosed fee to Black Butte when we checked in to get our gate pass, this was quite an unpleasant surprise.
If you want to pay $500 for a weekend of misery with no recourse, this is your place.
