Nationally and provincially Registered interior designer, with a degree from the Ontario College of Art (in interior design). Extensively published, award winning design projects, and top sales producer with my longtime employer. Originally from Ottawa, moved to Vancouver 17 years ago. Extensive experience in buying, renovating, and selling homes. When I retired from retail a year ago, I became busier than ever, mostly helping clients build new homes, or renovate. I travel back and forth from my home in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast to Vancouver, with most of my design work in the Vancouver area. I am on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity, and serve as the ReStore Director.

Why chris pallett chose Central and Downtown Vancouver

I chose this suite because of the great layout with no wasted space. Had a list of 'must haves', and this suite ticked most of those boxes. Came in with the idea of doing a total renovation, which took 7 months, top to bottom. Love the building amenities, and the proximity to everything I need.

What makes this condo unique

Turnkey, with plenty of left- in -place items to make it easy to feel right at home here. Quality linens, lots of kitchen tools for cooking, good CD/DVD library. Sunny days are perfectly spent on the balcony, or just take in the city with your morning tea or coffee. Toasty warm bathroom floor, and rainshowerhead. Books to read, and much information on what to do in Vancouver and area.

Great Location, Designer Furnishings, Superb Host

My wife and I spent a week in Vancouver during the FIFA World Cup and were walking distance to BC Place. We were amazed at the vast choices of restaurants, shopping and sightseeing close by. Jump on the train from the airport and in less than 30 minutes you are a 3 block walk to this lovely property. Rented bikes close by and rode them thru Stanley Park, along the seawall to Olympic Village, Granville Island, and out to UBC. Chris' place has windows that open and the lovely breeze was delightful. Enough can't be said about how Chris has decorated the interior. So many things to mention in that regard I could go on and on. And the best part of it all is Chris. One of the nicest people you will ever meet. Going to Vancouver again and only staying here.

Owner's Response: Such a nice review, thank you. I do know that the single most important part of a furnished rental is "everything", not just one singular item that is good. The location is superb for easy access to convention centre activities, as well as sightseeing and shopping. I do strive to make each and every visit to my suite a memorable one for my guests. Great get-a-way & Host

Had a great 2 weeks, wonderful location, just right for a couple, close to all attractions, great night life, close to all wonderful foods, restaurants etc. air conditioning would have made it a 6 star. Other then that perfect.... tks so much.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. The A/ unit filter was clogged, which I only found out after you had left this comment. This has been fixed. The A/C is a 10,000 BTU unit, and I have now coupled it with another A/C unit of 6,000 BTU to ensure that the suite stays in the cooler range during the summer heat.

A great stay & a wonderful host

I emailed Chris about my mum & brother staying at his condo for their visit in Vancouver. Not was he only prompt but he went out of his way to ensure they have a great stay. Since their wonderful holiday (all the way from Sydney Australia) they've only raved about the great location & the great condo they had in Vancouver. Could not thank you enough Chris & hope I get to visit it first hand next time.

Beautiful Condo, Great location and friendly, curteous and responsive owner

My wife and I recently spent two weeks at this gorgeous, clean, and well appointed suite. The building is very secure as is the neighbourhood it is in. For one of the weeks we were joined by our 20 something son, who also loved it. The location is excellent as it is close to everything one may want to do, either by walking or by public transit. We rented a car for one week and Chris made his parking spot in the secured underground garage available to us; can't tell you how convenient this was for our day trips, as you really feel like you are coming back to your home. If you are impressed with the pictures then be assured that the unit IS as you see it; stylish, clean, comfortable and with all that you need. Chris is a phone call away if you need anything. We didn't, so he checked in with us to make sure that everything was going well. He was easy to deal with throughout the whole process, from booking to departure. Thank you Chris! We look forward to meeting up again.

Yes, the suite is certainly well located, and with the new construction almost finished at the Bengal 5 building across the street, and new group of wonderful, high end stores will be locating to this two block mini Rodeo Drive. I was also pleased that you were able to connect with your son, and have him join you. The sofa has always been a good sleeping spot for that extra guest, and I always make sure there are plenty of new linens available to make up that extra sleeping spot. Again, thanks for leaving the suite so spotless when you departed, and feel free to call me when you decide to return to Vancouver. Caio.

AMAZING SUITE AND WONDERFUL OWNER!!

My husband and I spent 2 1/2 wonderful months in Chris's suite. It was just as beautiful as the pictures in the ad and had everything that you could possibly want to make it feel like home. The location was the BEST, as we walked everywhere. Restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, liquor stores are all within a 2 - 10 minute walk. In addition, Stanley Park, museums, Pacific Centre, yoga studios and the train station are also an easy stroll. We had our car, but never used it during our entire stay!! Chris was a wonderful host, always just a phone call away if we had a question or small problem. He really made sure that the suite has everything you might need and his attention to detail really showed. Near the end of our stay, he asked if he could take us to dinner to thank us for being his guests. He also asked for our input so that he could improve things in the future that might be lacking. We could not really think of anything, since the suite is already a real gem - a 10!!!!! Thank you, Chris, for a wonderful summer in an amazing city!!!

I strive to provide a wonderful space and experience for all my guests, and do everything I can to make each guest feel special (you and Brian were definitely that). When I ask for feedback, I attempt to respond with action as quickly as I can do so. The same goes for issues that might arise within the suite, as I put my carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical skills to work on an issue when it crops up. Just a note to potential guests reading this note, Linda and Brian booked my suite almost 10 months before their intended visit to Vancouver, and I am finding that the only way to accommodate those who wish to rent my suite for a longer period, really do need to book at least 6-9 months in advance. The suite is now booked from August 29th to April 30, 2015 by guests who made the booking in September of 2013. I thank you again for such a wonderful review, and will continue to live up to the expectations that all potential guest should have of my suite, and my service to them.

perfect location

As you can see from the photos, the owner has decorated the condo very nicely. He has provided all the unseen necessities as well including everything needed to cook one's own meals. Gourmet grocery store is only half a block away, and the liquor store is one block. Chris was very attentive and friendly and insisted on picking us up from the train station. The condo is extremely well located and we walked everywhere. The only reason we did not give five stars is that there is construction across the street (a large office building) so it was a bit loud during the day. Since we were out and about during most of the day, and since they stopped work each day by 5 or 6, it was not that big of an issue. Nice view from the balcony. We felt like native Vancouverites for our one week stay. We would definitely stay here again.
