Amazing place! But be wary of the roads!

  • 5 of 5

The property is great! It has amazing views of both the ski-slopes and the city! Parking is easy and the whole condo is very nicely decorated. No issues at all!

The one thing I would like to mention that we didn’t consider that other people might find helpful is that during the winter, the very windy mountain roads may ice over. We had a very harrowing trip up the mountain one evening after it started to snow in our two-wheel drive vehicle. It took three hours to get up the mountain just from Downtown Gaitlinberg as many people got into accidents, or the roads were simply too slippery to go up until the salt-trucks passed through. Just something we wished we had considered!

Refreshing get-away

  • 5 of 5

What a refreshing get-away! My husband and I recently visited "Bear Necessities." While entering the Smokey Mountains we enjoyed seeing the beautiful fall scenery. As we traveled up the mountain we kept our eyes peeled for black bears. Then when we pulled into the Summit at dusk, we got our wish. We saw a huge black bear near the tree line! We ran up to the condo unit to hopefully get a closer look. The view was breathtaking as we stepped onto the balcony. The unit was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you for making our stay relaxing and refreshing.

Great Vacation Property

  • 5 of 5

We had a great holiday. It was better than we expected. It was quite a drive up the mountain to the Summit, but we figured there are so many rentals up there it can't be that bad. We saw three bears from the balcony, and spent hours enjoying the view of the mountains. Fortunately we did not have buildings or trees blocking our view.

Seeing the Gatlinburg shops after 10 years was a real joy. We enjoyed walking around the summit soaking up the fresh air. And we rode the tram up and down Ski Mountain.

We'll be back! Thanks for sharing your Chalet with us...

Cannot beat the view!!

  • 4 of 5

The view outside your condo is amazing. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the balcony and watching the sunrise. The drive was a little scary at times, but you have to endure that to get this great of a view. The condo was a little outdated but overall a cozy environment. Jeff(the contact) was super nice and very easy to deal with.
