The Princess Inn is a family-owned boutique hotel located in the heart of Port-au-Prince, which allows for easy access to Champs de Mars, the Museé du Panthéon, and other notable destinations. The hotel is suitable for both short and long-term stays. Discounts of 10% and 20% will be provided for week and month-long stays, respectively.
On the first floor you'll find a fully stocked bar and dining area, where the complimentary breakfast of your choosing will be served.
The rooms are distributed along the second, and third floors, both of which have communal balconies from which guests can see the rolling hills for which Haiti is famous.
The entire venue is available for rent as well, but this price will vary depending on the season and the needs of the potential guest. If you're interested in renting the entire venue, express this in your inquiry and we will provide a quote.
Each of our 9 rooms is furnished with a queen-sized bed, bedside table, TV, and has access to a private bathroom. Of these rooms, 6 have an air conditioning unit. The rooms can be separated into the following 3 categories:
1. 4 Standard/without AC ($65/night)*
2. 3 Luxury/with AC ($75/night)*
3. 1 Deluxe/with AC ($90)*
4. 1 Deluxe/with AC & Private Balcony ($110)*
Note that stays of 7 nights or more receive an automatic discount of 10%.
At the Princess Inn we also offer car rental options ranging from $70 to $180 per day. The exact cost per day will depend on the make and model of the car chosen and the duration of your stay. Generally speaking, the longer your stay, the lower the daily cost of your car rental. Because of the mountainous terrain, we recommend that people who are unfamiliar with driving in Haiti hire a private driver. This can be arranged for a fee of $50 per day, or $300 per week week.

I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and spent part of my childhood there before moving to Miami, Florida. I've stayed deeply connected to my Haitian roots and have always dreamed of making a difference there. That opportunity came after I graduated from Hamilton College with a Bachelor's in Genetics & Social Justice. For my entire college career, my father and I worked on a boutique hotel in Port-au-Prince, which we finally opened in June of 2017. The concept of our hotel, The Princess Inn, emerged during a time that was critical for our family, and for the nation of Haiti at large. After 83 years of vibrant life, my grandfather Sonis Lamur passed away in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in December 2016. Born in the southern commune of Arniquet, he was orphaned at the age of 15 and strove to provide his children with the security and connection to family that was denied to him. To that end, he worked two jobs for 16 hours a day for 20 years, and continued working one of them for the next 15 years. Despite this hard work, he was able to provide only the bare necessities to his 12 children. In the absence of material wealth, he instead chose to impart to them the importance of education, hard work, family, and community. My father, his son, Joseph Lamur, was able to move abroad, where he continued Sonis' legacy of hard work and commitment to family. As natives of Haiti, our family always knew the country to be a place of inexplicable beauty and marvelous, though forgotten, history. After nearly 20 years of living abroad, our family was able to build The Princess Inn. In the same way that Sonis gifted my father these values, my father has gifted The Princess Inn and all it represents to me. I hope to share this gift with you, and invite you to stay with us to experience the past and present of Haiti. We hope to use The Princess Inn as a way to both honor and continue my grandfather's legacy.
