Take a Telluride vacation and gear up for adventure in the Colorado Rocky Mountains! Our Telluride vacation rentals offer proximity to outdoor activities, attractions, restaurants and more for your exciting mountain getaway.
Nestled in a box canyon, Telluride is surrounded by mountain peaks measuring 13,000 to 14,000-feet high. The city is best known for Nordic skiing, hiking, biking, fly fishing and extreme adventures. With a four-season climate, Telluride provides your family a place to vacation year-round.
Summer welcomes you to hike in the fresh mountain air, go horseback riding, play golf, enjoy water recreation, and try paragliding and rock climbing. In the winter, ski and snowboard, go ice skating, sledding, and snowshoeing and snowmobiling. You'll find that the ski scene is so popular even Conde Nast Traveler readers named Telluride the No. 1 Ski Resort in North America in 2016. Additionally, those who vacation in Telluride also enjoy the resort's no-lift-lines promise.
Your Telluride vacation rental also provides access to an eclectic arts and culture scene that celebrates the city's rich history as a former mining town in Colorado. While visiting, see live theater and opera, or select a special piece from one of Telluride's art museums.
Adding to its culture, the area also hosts signature festivals that welcome thousands each year. For over 30 years, these events have celebrated music, food, art, the great outdoors and more that showcase the city's laid-back mountain lifestyle. Popular Telluride events include the balloon festival, bluegrass festival, wine festival, jazz festival, blues and brews, and cars and colors. In addition, you'll find holiday celebrations, sporting events, a farmers market and events that promote healthy living.
After playing all day, take a break and immerse yourself in the Telluride restaurant scene. Ranked among the top American Food Cities by both Fodor's and Conde Nast Traveler, the city's dining options draw foodies from all over. Venture from your Telluride vacation rental and visit family-friendly spots, upscale dining with mountain views, saloons, wine bars and local dives. To satisfy everyone in your group, you'll find restaurants serving pizza, Mexican, BBQ, steaks, Italian and other menu options.
Still need ideas for your Telluride vacation? Don't miss the city's historic Main Street a.k.a. Colorado Avenue, which houses locally owned boutiques, more restaurants and entertainment for the whole family. This picturesque spot is perfect for a day strolling with loved ones and features Victorian architecture, coffee shops, a raved-about bookstore, bakeries, art galleries, a theater and fun attractions.
Those looking for more adventure and culture should visit nearby Mountain Village, located only 8 miles from Telluride. Mountain Village ranks as one of the newer resorts in the area and offers a downhill bike park, obstacle and ropes course, and dozens of shops and restaurants. Our guests have access to both areas, as the area's free gondola connects Telluride and Mountain Village for one of the top public transportation and sightseeing options in Colorado.
