Quaint Cottage in Good location

  • 4 of 5

We loved the fact that the house was 400 years old and had a private courtyard. The house has plenty of space. Llaria was very friendly and helpful, giving us lots of information about the house and surrounding area, including where the nearest food store was (10 minutes walk from the house). This house would be absolutely wonderful in the the summer since it would stay cool with the thick stone walls, and it has a pool! When we were there in May the weather was a bit cool. The house could at times feel a bit cold and a few of the heaters did not not work. Having said this, the house has a lot of character and we very much enjoyed our stay there. It is in a great location to visit both Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore.

Charming character filled house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 5 nights at Casa Lorella with friends. The house was perfect for 2 couples. It has a real charm about it largely because of the authentic features which have been retained.

Ilaria was very helpful with the booking and provided us with comprehensive information on local services and sights. She speaks excellent English which was a bonus for us.

The house has it's own parking space which was handy for us, although the access is down a narrow lane. The property was clean and well maintained and has quite a spacious feel to it, especially with the large outdoor area.

For us the only drawback was possibly the lack of internet access, though this was avaiable at the Hotel Britain approx 200m away if you ate or drank there.

Spacious Old House in Charming Surroundings

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay in Casa Lorella. The house is a charming old family house, retaining many typical features. It is spacious, comfortable and well equipped (gas stove and oven, washing machine, iron).

The real joy however is the sense of outdoor living - it seems every room opens onto either the patio or balcony and whether indoors or out there is always a sense of light and air. The house is located amongst a handful of others all similar in character and one gets a real sense of living amongst the Italians. The view of the lake and surrounding mountains is breath taking.

Just a few hundred metres away is the village shop - run by the attentive Edo - selling fresh bread daily as well as the full range of provisions one might need. There are two restaurants within walking distance (one is 5 minutes, the other 15).

Ilaria and her family are always on call in case of need and so helpful.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Sehr schönes Feriendomizil

  • 4 of 5

Fantastisch verblijf

  • 5 of 5

  • 4 of 5
