SECLUDED NEW HOME ON LITTLE PLEASANT BAY WITH PRIVATE BEACH

Sleeps6
Bedrooms 2
Bathrooms1
Half Baths1
Space 1,200 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

Overview

About the property

Stay in a new two-bedroom custom home, secluded and deep in the woods, on the water, off Barley Neck Road in East Orleans. The home is ideally suited for four people currently, but will be expanded later to accommodate six. Please note that there is an adjacent 18th century grist windmill, which is listed/rented separately; it accommodates up to six additional people (please inquire if interested).

Swim or kayak in Little Pleasant Bay from your private beach, and explore the Bay and Sampson, Pochet, or Hog Islands at your leisure. Experience the beauty of Cape Cod sunrises and sunsets from the front lawn; and, just maybe you will see deer or fox that occasionally cross the yard. A grill is available for cookouts, as is a picnic table to enjoy your food while looking out over the Bay. And, when you come back from the beach, there is an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand and salt!

The public beaches, on both the Bay and ocean sides, are within easy driving distances.

This new home includes two bedrooms--a master with a queen bed and window seat, and an adjacent bedroom with two twin beds, also including a window seat. There is a full bathroom with a shower on the main level and a half bath on the upper level. Upstairs is a beautifully crafted combination living room/kitchen with double-doors leading out to an upper-deck beautiful view of the waters of Little Pleasant Bay.

Amenities also include cable TV, Internet with WiFi, and central air conditioning/heat. There is also a laundry room with a washer/dryer. Linen rentals are available from www.cclinenrental.com.

Please note: When using Google Earth, when you put in 43 Chestnut, the red marker is actually put to the front and right of the Mill home (actually 45 Chestnut, despite the listing address); this listing and the home being rented--43 Chestnut--is actually directly back from the Google red marker with the white stone parking area visible alongside the right of the home (back and to the left of the VRBO blue marker if you are using their map). If you zoom in you can also see the stairs down to the beach, an alternative path down to the beach (with 2 kayaks seen alongside the path), the water, and the beach with a higher tide water line visible in the sand. The view of the bay from the home and the home from the bay can be seen in the attached pictures.

About William Benton

The land was purchased by my grandfather around 1907. The adjacent Mill itself was built around 1787, and some of the original beams are features of the structure.

The New Home was constructed within the last few years for our father's retirement

Why William Benton chose Cape Cod

It's all about location. You will have access to a private beach and Little Pleasant Bay, and you are a short drive from the public beaches, Nauset (the ocean) and Skaket (Cape Cod Bay).

What makes this house unique

Privacy, yet within minutes of historic sites, fine dining, and incomparable ocean views.

Notes:
There are two properties directly adjacent to one another that rent separately and are obviously different. The Original Mill is 'classic', but does not have the same amenities/feel as a 'new' home which is featured in this listing. However, they both share a great view and beach in a great location!

Wonderful Updated Rental with Amazing Views

  • 5 of 5

We spent the first week of July in this beautiful rental. The house is updated and very clean with a gorgeous high end kitchen. We especially loved sitting on the second floor porch and taking in the breathtaking views. We will be back!
