Spacious duplex in charming brownstone, easy access to Manhattan+Brooklyn
15 minutes to Manhattan, tucked away on a safe and tree-lined block in Brooklyn, this airy, sun-filled, brownstone shines with original details. Ideal for large groups, with ample space for relaxing, cooking, watching movies, and easy access to coffee shops and Brooklyn dining staples like Saraghina and Peaches Hot House. With a view of the Empire State Building from the floor-to-ceiling windows, this is Brooklyn living at its best.
My mission is to combine the warmth and charm. With two flexible living/bed rooms, a full kitchen, a kitchenette, and two bathrooms, this duplex is a rarity in NYC.
The 3rd floor features an oversized living room that can be a sitting room or a bedroom, with a large u-shaped sectional that converts easily to a king size bed. This space is ideal for watching movies, playing games, and sharing meals. The 3rd floor has 2 additional bedrooms: a queen bedroom that also includes a full futon, and a bunk bed room with a twin bed over a full size bed. The 3rd floor also features a beautiful tile bathroom with a clawfoot tub, as well as a kitchenette outfitted with all of the essentials.
The 4th floor features a large, bright room with a sofa bed and day bed that can be an additional living room or bedroom, two queen bedrooms, a bunk bed room, a full bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen.
The 3rd floor living room has a 55" inch smart TVs with Netflix, Amazon fire, etc., a DVD player and DVDs, video games, books, magazines, puzzles, and board games. You'll also find a record player with a curated selection of records and amazing speakers.
I'm a former restaurant owner and good food ambassador, and you'll find a kitchen that meets every need you can imagine: sous vide machine, toaster oven, blender, and more.
How do you prefer your coffee? Pour over? Drip? Keurig? My kitchen has it all, including pods if you're in a hurry or beans and one of the best grinders money can buy if you're a purist. You'll also have your pick of teas if that's your thing.
In the bedrooms, you'll find 400 thread count sheets, down comforters, and brand-new mattresses.
Each bathroom has all of the essentials and more: shampoo conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, first aid kit, and other toiletries. You'll also find plush towels and washcloths--plenty for everyone in your party.

About Jeff Mills
Hey, I'm Jeff, and I was born in Ohio and and have lived in New York, Boston, Washington, DC, San Francisco and Maine. Extensive travel in India and SE Asia with several visits to Europe, Japan and South America. In addition to travel, I love to cook and generally go out of my way to treat every meal as if it's my last on earth. I owned a top restaurant in Manhattan for years, then moved to DC to head up food and nutrition for the public school system. In Brooklyn, I founded a food service management company that serves high-quality, scratch-made meals in schools, business cafeterias, and universities. Last year, we served over 7,000 meals/day and sourced locally as much as possible. All just to say ... I've been fortunate to develop a deep understanding of and appreciation for New York's people, food, agriculture, and artisans. I'm happy to be welcoming guests to a city I know and love, and even happier to offer them a well-stocked kitchen. To me, ideal accommodations combine the comfort and personality of a home with the luxury amenities you'd find in a hotel. I operated on that philosophy when designing my rental unit, and I look forward to offering guests a true haven in one of the most amazing cities in the world.
Why Jeff Mills chose Bedford-Stuyvesant
For a true New York experience, venture out of the tourist hubs and into historic Brooklyn! You'll find everything you need within a few block radius, including trains that get you to Manhattan in 15 minutes and waterfront Brooklyn in 10. But at the end of a long day, guests always appreciate returning to a beautiful, tree-lined street. You'll be able to see the Empire State Building from your window, while enjoying a break from the NYC crowds.

Great location, easy access to Manhattan & perfect for a big group.
Pictures don’t do this place justice. One of the best home stays I’ve had. We booked last minute and it well exceeded our expectations. The host was easy to communicate with and the neighborhood had some great finds - don’t miss Anchor Coffee and Saraghina.
