Memories beyond beyond-lucky, lucky for us to have had ten days in "PARADISE"....we will carry the moments in Kailua with us forever. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Was the comment of all of the 13 family members at the last night dinner table.
We truly enjoyed everything here at Kai Nani Villa. We have had a dozen of family trips at several different vacation rentals. This house was by far the best. We will be back for our next family trip.Thank you very much.

We just left this beautiful home after month-long stay and had such a wonderful time! We had only two couples for the 1st two weeks to our family of 10 for the later it was an amazing stay! This home truly had everything we needed, it was clean close to the ocean and just perfect for us! We will be back!
We chose Kai Nani Villa because its photos on VRBO were better than the other vacation rentals and I wanted the best place to celebrate a retirement and a birthday. When we arrived it was even nicer than I expected and my family members were both impressed & happy as they walked around and chose their rooms with BIG smiles on their faces...and some squeals of joy. The Villa is spacious and luxurious and once you enter it feels like the perfect Hawaiian retreat. There are large bedrooms all throughout the house so it works well for big families and multiple families. The Chef's kitchen has such a large granite island we could fit our entire group around it as we planned the day. The luxurious living room has a big screen TV but we never turned it on (we played games or talked or listened to the ocean). We did use the indoor/outdoor stereo system the times we hung out by the pool. After we arrived and took the tour and unloaded our luggage we walked down the private path to the beach and jumped into the ocean (in January!). That beach is as nice as I have seen and every morning my wife and I got up early and walked the beach while sipping our coffee. Kai Nani has a very large and private yard with an incredibly luxurious lanai, BBQ, and pool and it was perfect for my family ranging in age from 6 to 78. The Villa became an integral part of the great memories we created on this vacation. I would highly recommend it and look forward to returning.
This house was amazing. We stayed here for a week on vacation and loved every minute of it. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. Everything in the house was exceptionally clean. The private beach access was priceless letting us safely and easily walk to a gorgeous, underused beach. There were very few people on the beach, giving us the private Hawaiian retreat we wanted while still being super close to town. Kailua has a very cute downtown area with lots of little shops and restaurants. We would take a short drive to Whole Foods each day and spent every evening eating and grilling outside on the lanai overlooking the pool. The outdoor showers were fantastic. Evening walks/runs on the beach were convenient and beautiful. The property manager was easy to contact and had everything prepared for our arrival. Definitely recommend this home!!!!
We were overall very happy with the house except for a a few things. The largest issue (which is not the fault of the home) is that our beach water was brown with yellow foam. This was caused from rain which flooded the rivers, dumping sewage into the bay. Neighbors warned us that chemicals were in the bay from the run off of farming. This was confirmed by Hawaii.gov web site. I personally was devastated because this was 6 of the 7 nights there. Had I known this I wouldn't have splurged on beach front property. I wasn't even comfortable dipping my toe into the ocean. I would make sure you check the state website before going into the water at this beach.
The house suited 4 couples, 1 single adult on the sleeper sofa (terrible mattress, better for kids), and 3 single adults in the King size with trundle . King size, trundle room smelled like musty mold, not terrible but I could not have slept in there. Luckily, the 3 adults could deal with it. The common spaces were awesome. One of the doors in the living room opened up the entire wall length to create an in door out door atmosphere. Loved the outdoor grill and living situation. We all practiced yoga every morning in that area with plenty of space. Pool was in very good condition and very clean. There were 3 outdoor showers that were convenient. Everything you need for the beach was there and well organized. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the kayaks because of the contaminated beach waters.
I would not stay here again because I would not want to risk experiencing chemicals and sewage in the ocean water when it rains ( it commonly does rain in Kailua). If the beach was guaranteed safe, I would highly recommend this place because it really accommodated 12 adults comfortably.
The photographs on VRBO really do not do justice to Kai Nani Vilka. My husband and I brought our two sons and their families (6 adults and 5 children) here from Washington, DC, San Francisco, CA, and Philadelphia, PA, and the home fit us all comfortably. The weather was perfect, so we spent all of our time out on the spacious lanai/ pool area or on the beach. Because two of our grandchildren are young, and we have great chefs in our family, we cooked in every night with the exception of "luau night". The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to prepare wonderful meals and Hawaiian cocktails. The 30 minute drive to Costco along the coast provided gorgeous scenery, and Whole Foods and Safeway markets were within 5 minutes of the house. Kialuah is a great little town, and within walking or biking distance for our early morning exercise. We drove into Waikiki to explore one day, hit the North Shore another day, and, of course visited the moving Pearl Harbor Memorial. But we were always happy to come home. The house has plenty of bikes, a couple of kiacks, skimboards, belly boards and beach chairs. It sits at the end of a private street shared with about five other homes. These homes also share a private beach access, so it is like having a stretch of the gorgeous coast all to yourself. Paisley, the property manager, was always available by phone or email to answer any questions. We highly recommend this beautiful Hawaiian home.
