Great house, very nice, love the back porch to sit and relax on. Quiet neighborhood as well. Owner so nice and helpful. Easy to get to freeways and shopping. Close to the canyons. Would like to stay next year when we go back. Best place to date.

What you see is what you get, but....

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at this vacation rental for a few days in late December 2016.

The location info provided on vrbo site is accurate.

It's in a 1970s middle class neighbourhood, houses are

generally well-maintained.

This particular property was renovated somewhat recently. The kitchen

and living room areas are pretty up-to-date and cozy.

The kitchen is pretty basic in terms of utensils available, it misses basics

like a beer bottle opener and a corkscrew. Don't expect a gourmet kitchen.

The cable tv is pretty basic, only a few channels were available.

The master bathroom is surprisingly small, no bathtub, just shower,

it's closer in size to a half bathroom.

We arrived right after a snowstorm, the driveway was cleared of snow

but the access from the street to the driveway was not adequately cleared,

the clearance was not wide enough to drive a car through it, so I had to

shovel snow to widen it.

The owner was late in providing both property access info and refund my deposit

after my stay, in both cases I had to prompt him to take appropriate action.

About 3-4 weeks prior to my arrival date I was asked to pay the balance of the

amount due for my stay, I indicated that I was ready to pay but I also mentioned

that I'll need to leave two days early and asked the owner to adjust the

remaining balance accordingly. They asked me to pay the full balance and

indicated they were open to work something out with me in case we leave early.

I did pay the full balance, left two days early, asked them to consider

reimbursing me for the two days, but they ignored my request.

I also offered to share my experience with them privately but they

did not seem interested.

I'd suggest you make sure your schedule is firm before

finalizing the reservation.

Much better than a hotel!

  • 4 of 5

The house was very clean and in a good location. Very easy check in and check out with up to date info from the owner. Only thing I would change is an addition of an iron and ironing board. Highly recommend staying here while your in town.

Beautiful, conveniently located, and fully-prepped house in Sandy, UT

  • 4 of 5

We stayed over a long weekend in June for a family wedding. The house is set up nicely with 3 bedrooms upstairs (2 queens and one bunk bed set with a twin/queen) and an optional downstairs apartment you can rent with a large sectional and full/queen bed. The kitchen is fully-stocked with everything you need to make a meal, just look in the closet adjacent to the kitchen if you can't find something. Two spacious bathrooms, one is even semi-handcar accessible with a low-level walk-in shower. Coming from the east coast, we were unfamiliar with a swamp cooler they use to cool the property. This is Salt Lake's version of air conditioning. Not nearly as cool as our central A/C on the east coast! The owner is available via camera door bell if you get locked out, that's super nice. There's a huge deck outside and even a small dog run in the back. We didn't use the outdoor spaces as it was super hot the weekend we visited. There's plenty of parking in the driveway if you have multiple cars. If you're looking for a nice home in a great neighbor that's easily accessible to Sandy, this is it. Just a few blocks away from shopping and dining.
