Large, south facing penthouse apartment with spectacular views of Chamonix and the Mont Blanc range. 200 yards from the central square of Chamonix and 20 yards from the railway station, from where ski buses to all pistes depart regularly. This apartment has a large dining room and kitchen combined; a master bedroom with double bed and small balcony; a further bedroom with 4 beds (2 in bunk, 1 stow-away); sitting room with double sofa bed and small balcony; bathroom with double wash basin and combined bath/shower; separate loo; large private terrace (size of the entire flat again) and private underground parking for one car. It is equipped with TV, DVD, Broad Band Internet access, UK satellite, dish washer and washing machine. This is a non-smoking apartment.

Chamonix is an unbelievable mountain town - not at all like a typical purpose built resort. Steeped in history - from alpine climbing to the Olympics. The apartment is in the centre of the town with dozens of bars and restaurants, discos, shops and the Brevent & Auguille du Midi cable cars. Enjoy awesome views of the Mont Blanc range from the apartment. There's a great mix of ski terrain from town centre blues & reds to some of the best, deepest and steepest off-piste slopes in the World!

Geneva airport is a short 60 mile transfer away (easily arranged) or the motorway/ peage virtually runs to the door from Calais for Brits who drive. The central railway station is a 2 minute walk away so you don't even need a car once you're in town. Chamonix is an outstanding venue year-round! Buses to the whole of Chamonix valley leave from the station.

Summer details: Chamonix’s a year-round adventure play ground. You can walk, climb (any style to any standard), paraglide, hang glide, parachute (45 minutes away), mountain bike, fish, golf, party, eat, go bowling, swim, play tennis, dance at nightclubs, sight see, break out the water colour paints or gamble at the casino! It is all here for you.

What a lovely time

We arrived to this very cute, clean chalet complete with snow man on the spacious balcony. We could not have been better located - barely 20 yards to the nearest ski hire shop (Pro Ski - 30% discount if you book online in advance) and super market and close to some great restaurants - would definitely recommend Atmosphere, which is 5 mins away - and 5 minutes from the main bus stop to the various pistes in the valley. John was very helpful and we'd definitely recommend this to a friend

Perfect family apartment in Chamonix

This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment and both times we have found it ideal for our needs. It is clean and spacious (family of 4 so oodles of space). It is ideal for the train station and Montevers and also for Planards as they are all only several hundred metres walking away. Easy to get into central Chamonix (again only a few hundred metres of walking) and also to Sanglard for kid's hire skis. The underground car park is a real boon as can load up in relative warmth and also know that your car is secure and out of the weather every night. We will definitely be back and maybe in the summer as well so we can make full use of the huge outside dining area.

Ideal acommodation from which to enjoy Chamonix

This was our second trip to Chamonix, our first here and when we next return it will most definitely be in this accommodation. It is excellently located very near to the main rail station, bus stops to get you to the pistes and some very good bars (in particular the Moo Bar which is directly below). Inside there are two very spacious bedrooms and additional sleeping provisions in the living room and the dining areas. The wi-fi was very fast, even good enough to stream TV, although there is no need to as there is full English TV and Sky Sports!! The real bonus is the very large terrace, I am sure very pleasant in the summer and being on the 4th floor sufficiently away from any noise. We had a snowball fight on New Year's Eve with some people on the other side of the street! John was very pleasant to deal with and this is a place that works equally well for families or groups of friends.

Very nice apartment

We had a great stay. The aparment is located in the center of Chamonix, so everything is nearby. The terrace is amazing. Very big and great views.

There are also board games and DVD's available in the apartment, so when the weather is bad you have something to do.

What a view!!! and a great apartment.

A great apartment ideally located for the centre of town and bus pick ups for the slopes. About a 10 minute walk to the Brevent, slightly less to Aiguille de Midi. We drove to Grand Montets every day for the children's skiing lessons and having the underground car park and the ski lockers made this very easy (and warm) loading up. The apartment itself is very spacious and the balcony is huge, the master bedroom has amazing views of Mont Blanc.. The kitchen has everything you need for a stay and we cooked most nights before a walk around town or chilling out in the lounge/tv room. Thank you John for being so thorough with arrival and departure information, it made everything very straight forward. Also thanks for recommending Sanglard ski rental for the children; just a 2 minute walk and we had them kitted out for the week.

Fantastic Stay!

My wife and infant son rented John's flat for a week and we had an excellent stay. Everything was as promised and there were no surprises. John was out of town but everything was ready when we arrived. John was very helpful setting up the booking and we would definitely rent from him again. We like to cook and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is amazing - right in the heart of the village and easy to walk to to shops, restaurants, and the bus stop to the ski hills. We spent a lot of time on the terrace which has amazing views. Well worth it.

  • This apartment ideally suits 5 people (three single beds in the back room) and a double bed in the principle bedroom. The TV room can convert at night time with a pull out bed giving you the capacity to sleep an extra 2 people bringing the total to 7. There is a further pull out bed in the back room for the occasional extra guest making 8 but its cosy and you all need to be close friends or family for this to work)

Notes:
The apartment has four rooms, bathroom and loo. This can be used in a variety of ways. We have it set out as one bedroom (double bed), further bedroom (three beds and stow-away), TV room (double sofa bed) and dining room (kitchen combined) with access to terrace. The terrace is excellent additional living space (twice the size of the apartment) when the sun shines and is equipped with tables and chairs to seat eight people. The apartment is strictly non smoking as this is our home when guests are not staying. If you are a smoker then you will probably want to choose elsewhere.
