Welcome to Seas-the-Day Corolla, a perfect home-away-from-home in the Outer Banks!
Whether you come to Corolla for the wild horses, Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, or the unbeatable beaches, you’ll love staying at Seas-the-Day. We’ve put a lot of thought into equipping the house with everything a family might need for a fantastic vacation — so that you barely need to bring a thing! Plus, our keyless entry system and included laundry service mean no time wasted picking up a key or dropping off laundry!
Some of the amenities that our guests have loved most include the bikes, kayaks, beach gear, and game room. And of course don’t forget to try the hammock and hot tub!
As part of the Villages at Ocean Hill community, your stay also includes (all within minutes’ walk): private access to the beach, two swimming pools, a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a turtle-filled lake (they love Cheerios!).
The house is a 2-minute drive from the wild horse sanctuary of Carova Beach (4WD-accessible), and a 5-minute walk from the nature trail leading to the sound. Miles of newly paved paths just outside the community are perfect for biking, running, or walking.
The house itself is a spacious and relaxing retreat. The heart of the house is the open-concept top floor, which has high ceilings, lots of light, and great views of the lighthouse. This floor includes a full kitchen with bar seating, dining table, sweetheart table (total seating for up to 14), half-bathroom, and three comfy couches for lounging — plus access to a 7-person hot tub, a screened-in porch with table and chairs, and sliding glass doors to a deck with sun loungers. The kitchen includes plenty of glasses, tumblers, dishware, cookware, and appliances (including an icemaker, blender, coffeemaker, 4-slot toaster, and toaster oven) — and even a couple coolers for days at the beach. You can also take advantage of an outdoor charcoal grill and fish cleaning table. The living area comes equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD/Blu-Ray player, surround-sound stereo, and lots of games and puzzles. And of course, there is free WiFi.
The master bedroom is also located on the top floor, with a king-size bed, full bath, flat-screen TV, and sliding glass doors to the hot tub deck.
The second floor is home to three bedrooms. Another master bedroom here features a queen-size bed, full bath, flat-screen TV, and sliding glass doors to a wraparound deck with a rope hammock and a swing chair where you can read, nap, and daydream. The First Flight room is perfect for a young family or up to 4 kids, with a full+twin bunk bed and a separate twin bed. The Wild Horse room has 2 twin beds that can easily be pushed together if you prefer. Rounding out the second floor are a large full bathroom and laundry area with washer, dryer, and extra towels, as well as another main entrance off the hammock deck to the house.
The last bedroom on the ground floor doubles as a recreation room, sure to be the kids’ favorite! An arcade-style basketball game and foosball/air hockey/ping pong table offer fun distractions, along with a TV/VCR/DVD/stereo setup and mini-library of books. This room contains a full+twin bunk as well as a pullout sleeper sofa and loveseat. The ground floor also has a half bathroom.
When you’re planning your activities, be sure to check out the bikes, kayaks, and beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, cart, boogie boards, and toys) we’ve provided! And when you’re back from the beach, the private outdoor shower (with both hot and cold water) is the perfect way to rinse off and unwind.
Enjoy your stay at Seas-the-Day!

“We are having a wonderful time at your home. The sleeping arrangements have
been perfect for our family and the kids are loving the beach.”
“...We continue to have a great time here at Seas the Day. The house works so well for multiple generations.”
“We did appreciate the new furnishings. I liked the little lamps with the switches on the cord and appreciated that the bulbs were bright enough for older eyes. The lounge chairs were great as were the swing and hammock.”
“... You know, the living room area is so well set up and comfy that we all enjoy finding a
corner and being together or alone, and the couches are very comfortable. We slept in the king room (elder perks) and found the mattress very comfortable, and everyone else seemed satisfied. I was pleasantly surprised with how generous you were with paper and cleaning products including coffee filters.”
“Also we have discovered that the lower deck is a delightful place to enjoy morning breezes or escape the afternoon sun. Anyway, all is well... and we will be checking out on Sunday morning. Thanks again for providing such a pleasant place to stay.”
We really enjoyed the three nights stay in this property; house is super clean really species to accommodate 14 people. Nice board games to entertain all people. Ms. Elizabeth Barrett was really helpful and really quick answering all our queries; her support was really awesome as and when we needed. Bikes were in awesome condition and we had a great time. We would definitely going back to this property again next year :)
Thank you Elizabeth !

This was our first time vacationing in the Outer Banks area and we cannot wait to return!. This home was perfect for our families and grandchildren( ages 3 to 9) Enough room for all with several decks, porches and a big dinning table for us to enjoy meals together. Lots of board games for the kids to enjoy along with a game room! We really liked the location to the beach. Easy walk and parking if needed.
The bikes were a big asset, with my granddaughter learning to ride a two wheeler! You should have seen the look on her face!! She biked all over the island with us---so proud. What a memory! A tour to see the wild horses is a must.
Grocery shopping was easy, simple with access to several stores near by. Restaurants have amble seating and there was never a wait for a table. Great food!!! Several areas to shop if you needed a break from the sand and water. Everything was easy to get to, short ride!
We all had a wonderful time. Our choice next time would be to come a little later in the season (2nd week of June) as the water was still a little cool but still enjoyed the waves and lots of sandcastles were made. Weather temperature was perfect, lots of sun and only one cloudy day! The Willis Family
Sea’s The Day was the perfect place for our family of nine to come together for a vacation.
Sea’s The Day has plenty of room to enjoy both private time and family time. No one felt isolated or crowded. The kitchen was large enough for several to cook in while the open concept let us enjoy the company of the rest.
The hammock, the cool swinging chair and hot tub were relaxing and got a lot of use by our family.
We enjoyed both pools and watching the turtles. The bikes were fun and came in handy when we went to the beach.
We loved the location being so close to the beaches, the old town of Corolla, the lighthouse, restaurants and, shopping.
Best of all Sea’s the Day is close to the wild horses which of course was the highlight of our vacation.
The owner seemed very genuine in his care for us. We received a nice welcome bag and the owner was very prompt at taking care of a mechanical malfunction that happened while we were there.
We had a wonderful time at Sea’s The Day!
This was our first trip to the OBX, after going to Myrtle Beach for many years. Peter is one of the most absolutely, fantastic people that we have ever rented from. I have used VRBO for over 10 years and Peter was by far the most pleasant owner I have encountered and is extremely easy to communicate with. His home, although well established in Corolla, has all of the up to date amenities that you could ever want. From updated flat screen TVs to boogie boards, from a hot tub to an enormous amount of beds, this house has it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the great living room space, where we could enjoy movies as night as a family. We strongly recommend without any reservation, at all. The location of the house is within a 3 minute walk to the lakeside pool and a 2 minute drive to the oceanfront pool.
We had a great time at "Seas-the-day"! We were accompanied by our son, daughter, their spouses and 4 grandchildren. The house is large! We all had a special place, and of course mine was sitting in the wonderful swing reading! I must say, we stay a lot (mostly in Florida) and this was the first time we really didn't need to bring a thing for the beach! It was a dream come true. There were chairs, carts, coolers, and the bikes! Oh my, my husband and I rode bikes. It was just like home. The house was very clean and the pictures didn't do it justice. Our only complaint were the sides in the restaurants. Coming from the midwest we just aren't used to mashed potatoes and green beans with sea food. That of course, has nothing to do with the house and area, just an observation. I would recommend this house to anyone, especailly groups. It is ideal. We really hope to return. Make sure to take advantage of the bikes and that awesome beach! The pools are wonderful at the property. There is a beautiful hot tub at the house, but we didn't use it, just not enough hours in our days! Thanks so much to the Barrett's for sharing. Just one more thing, Kevin is wonderful! His family couldn't be nicer! He is a true gem!

This house has every amenity for a successful vacation for the entire family, including those with very young children. Plenty of TVs, lots of bikes, lots of beach chairs and toys, absolutely excellent kitchen. Very easy walk to the lakeside pool. Easy trip to the beach and beachside pool with plenty of parking. Easy access to the wild horse preserve, a national treasure, the lighthouse, shopping and restaurants. Thanks to the Barretts for making this incredible house available.
