Sevierville Cabin Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 4 Sleeps, Great Mtn Views, Close To Everything

'1 of a Kind', a 1,200 square foot log cabin, is nestled snugly in the Smoky Mountains. The cabin's stairway is handcrafted from the Cedar trees that were harvested to build the cabin. You will enjoy total seclusion because this cabin is located at the very top of a private Mountain. From the two large wooden decks and the cozy balcony, you can watch the beautiful Sunrise and the Sunset.

Cabin Layout: The first-floor level has the living room, fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, the bedroom with a King size bed, a bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a 4-head custom-built tile shower. The bathroom is completely handicapped-accessible.

Soak your aching muscles in the indoor jacuzzi whirlpool tub or the big, bubbling hot tub on your private deck while you enjoy the magnificent 360 degree views. Enjoy cooking up a memorable meal in the fully-equipped kitchen or on the handy charcoal barbecue grill outside. The cabin also features original paintings by artist Judy Doench

The game room (upstairs level) is well furnished for your enjoyment with a fun pool table, small pinball machine, dartboard, numerous board games, and a futon. The second Bathroom, with its custom tile shower, is on this level.

Other unique features '1 Of A Kind' offers are 3 sets of French Doors you can open to feel like you are right outside, a fun outdoor fire pit for roasting hot dogs or marshmallows and even a unique romantic indoor waterfall located in a corner of the living room.

About John Soter

The owners are John & Shelly Soter, As a 30 year Carpenter. I always wanted to build my Mother a house. Since she would not move to TN. We built her a vacation home. Everything was hand crafted with allot of love and creativity. Now both of our parents, have this beautiful piece of the mountains to enjoy anytime they want. And we would like to share it with you as well.

John Soter purchased this cabin in 2010

Why John Soter chose Tennessee

We bought this property with a vision of the most amazing Log Cabin I could dream up. When we found this land at the dead end of the street. Then climbed to the top and saw the views, we knew this was going to be ours. It was one of the most amazing properties we had ever seen. After a year of allot of hard work. We finished building 1 of a Kind.

What makes this cabin unique

360 Views, Completely private but close to everything, Can see for Miles, Fire Pit is awesome, The King size Log bed is extremely comfortable, The shower is extra large with 4 shower heads, Custom shower upstairs, Handmade furniture, Cedar staircase, Custom original art work. Amazing place to relax.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This cabin is so quaint and cozy, and the views--the views--SPECTACULAR!!! As for the listing description--it was spot on. The location--was peaceful and breathtaking. The amenities--everything we needed to make a lovely meal. All I had to do was bring my own food. I spoke with the owner several times by telephone, who was accommodating to all my questions prior to booking our stay at 1 of a Kind. We loved that we were able to bring along our four-legged babies (Izzy and Sam). They enjoyed running around and sniffing everything. We even made a friend with the local dog that visited us on our arrival evening and kept coming back every morning and evening during our entire stay. The cabin was away from all the hustle and bustle of the city, but only minutes away. We were able to get to all the major attractions in under 20 minutes--most within 10 minutes or less. We drove the Cades Cove loop and saw plenty of deer and a few elk grazing. We drove through the National Park and went waterfall hunting. We shopped in Gatlinburg, and had a picnic at a local picnic area before we hiked Rainbow Falls. We've already raved to all our friends about 1 of a Kind, and will definitely plan a future stay.Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us,Selene, William, Izzy, and Sam

Very private and beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. Extremely relaxing and restful, but yet close to the attractions for fun. Very clean and nicely furnished. It felt like home when we walked in the door. The views were second to none! Amazing! Just amazing! Every morning it looked like the color of the mountains had changed just a bit. Have the pictures for wallpaper on my computer now and can just look at them and feel the relaxation again. Thank you for sharing your 1 of a kind home!

Beautiful Cabin with Awesome Views

  • 4 of 5

This is truly a unique cabin with awesome views that you can immediately tell was constructed with great skill and love. I found myself often looking at the beautiful staircase with railings made from limbs gathered from the land. We especially appreciated the seclusion that the cabin offered. We initially felt the cabin was a little farther from Sevierville than we had hoped (about a 15-20 minute drive to the Parkway), but once we got used to the drive and learned the roads it was fine. The cabin was clean with the exception of some cobwebs (but my house has some cobwebs too!). The televisions get a lot of channels (we surfed them all), but not some that we would have liked...no ESPN for my husband to watch Monday night football. Perhaps this is due to the secluded location. We met Ol' Yeller on our last day. He stood outside the kitchen window barking for us to come outside. He's a friendly guy! Thank you for a memorable stay.

A great place to stay.

  • 4 of 5

Our stay was very nice. A very comfortable stay in a great setting. The cabin was very clean and nice. The only things that need to be addressed is the shower heads in each bathroom. They are stopped up with lime and it's hard to get a shower with very little water coming from shower heads . Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thanks for you comment on the shower heads. The only way we can know is if someone calls and tells me. Our cleaners don't usually turn on the shower head. And they do clog allot because of the mountain water. We will take care of it. I'm glad you had a good time.

Beautiful Private Clean

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a private cabin only about 15 minutes from everything this one is great. We stayed here for my daughters softball world series. Love the fire pit we roasted marsh mellows with wood and starter that was provided and bbq some also. Hot tub and morning coffee view was amazing. Had visit from Old Yellow as soon as we arrived and few times during our stay. Great family vacation spot. Kids loved game room only downside was they did need new shower head up stairs but that was least of our worry while we stayed. Me and hubby loved to open doors out the room and listen to the crickets and birds during the morning hours. Thanks for sharing your cabin!

Owner's Response: Glad you had a good time. I just found out about the shower head from yours and another review. Please call and let us know if there is anything like that so we can take care of it. Our cleaners don't use the showers and the mountain water clogs them up sometimes. Glad you had a good time.

Down right awesome👍

The property was secluded just as we wanted. Extremely clean and everything we needed was there. So enjoyed the peaceful getaway! We highly recommend the cabin and would return. Loved our daily visits from "Old Yeller".
