About the property

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 2

If you're visiting Savannah, one of the best ways to enjoy a more relaxing stay is to book your accommodations with Southern Belle's Savannah vacation rentals. Instead of a cramped hotel room, you can enjoy apartment-sized and bigger Savannah vacation homes with full kitchens, laundry units and often balconies or yards. Not only that, but all of our vacation rentals Savannah GA are located in ideal spots in the downtown and are often within easy walking distance of top attractions and services.

One of our Savannah vacation rentals is the 800 square foot Acorn House property. This is a bright and cheerful garden level property that can host up to two guests in one bedroom and bathroom, making it the perfect choice for a couple or individual. It has an excellent central location near Chatham Square, and like all of our Savannah vacation homes, has plenty of great amenities like wireless internet, cable TV, a full kitchen, an outdoor patio and more. We always make sure our vacation rentals Savannah GA are well-stocked and cleaned prior to your arrival and you can expect whimsical and thoughtful decor and furniture in the house. Come see why our Savannah vacation rentals are tops in the city.

Upon entering this property, you can easily see why it lives up to its bright and cheery description. The living room is bright and cozy with big windows and nostalgic touches like lantern light fixtures. There's plenty of extra seating for guests and a flatscreen TV. A framed wall opening peers into the kitchen and the breakfast nook and table for two. The kitchen itself has a brick wall facade in the back and it has a stove, fridge and microwave for your convenience. Just outside of the kitchen is a formal dining area with a brick fireplace and a table for four. The one bedroom has a very modern feel with tile floor and area rugs. Head outside for a cute garden area with an antique fountain and a table and chairs for two. This little green space makes an inviting scene for enjoying morning coffee, afternoon snacks or a cocktail in the evening.

This property is located on West Taylor Street and is within easy walking distance to Chatham Square. This square is one of the quieter parks and squares in Savannah and was built in 1847. It was named after the Earl of Chatham, William Pitt. You'll also be only a short distance south of Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, which is a busy Southern diner and has been family-owned since 1943.

Excellent location, great service, and beautifully appointed unit to make your stay memorable. The backyard was an added bonus and the unit was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments:

Southern Belle was very thorough leading up to our stay with lots of communication regarding check in, access, parking, etc. Acorn House is in a wonderful location, very walkable and close to shops and dining. The house itself is charming and comfortable for a stay, we had no trouble with parking around the square. We did have a few hiccups that took our stay from lovely to not so much: The previous renter's forms were not picked up by the company, exposing their personal information to us when we arrived. The wifi codes provided did not work - although we did not wait around to communicate this to the company (we had Savannah to see!), and I'm sure it would have been easily remedied. But most critical, at 7:30am on our last morning we awoke to a man who had entered the apartment through the (locked) back garden door. My husband called out from the bedroom and the man apologized saying "I didn't know anyone was here". Safe to say we were freaked out and quickly packed up and left. I would not feel comfortable staying here again now knowing that someone (who?? Wasn't Southern Belle.) has keys and easy access to the 'private rental', and comes and goes without notice or even knocking. Unfortunately as I read through other reviews it does not appear to be the first time it has happened. Although Southern Belle was excellent to deal with leading up to the rental, that experience took a five star stay to a would-not-reccommend.
