The main benefits of “Hodge Lodge” are LOCATION and VIEW.
LOCATION: Our house is about 1 mile from stores and restaurants. It borders Tonto National Forest at the end of Pine View Dr. on the eastern slope of Strawberry Mountain. The area is secluded and peaceful with lots of wildlife.
VIEW: The view is really nice. You see the whole valley and have a clear view of the Mogollon Rim. When you are on the upper deck you are nearly at tree top level and nothing will block your view. The night sky and stars are breathtaking.
The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms that will sleep 6 in beds and for additional sleep options we have a futon in the fireplace room and sleeping pads in the loft.
(Optional only upon request) There is an apartment which has a private access from the back of the house for $75 per night extra. It has a King size bed, bathroom with shower, microwave, refrigerator, private patio, WiFi, 42 inch flat screen with satellite TV, and two recliner chairs.
This spacious chalet has (2500 sq. ft.) of living space and almost 2000 sq. ft. of outside decking nestled in the forest. It is a very relaxing and peaceful place. Everything you would need to prepare meals or relax is furnished.
This house is located at the end of a well maintained gravel road. It is one of the highest locations in Pine situated on the east slope of Strawberry Mountain. The view is spectacular. The upper level deck raps around the house for 360 degree view of the area. Our living room is within feet of the Tonto national forest. You would be totally surrounded by tall Ponderosa pines. There are lots of wildlife small and large to view. (Elk, Deer, Coyotes and a variety of small game)
We are within walking distance to antique shops, restaurants, bars, library, community center and playground. Pine/Strawberry host several seasonal arts and crafts festivals, rodeos and other special events. There are many hiking, mountain biking and riding trails. Go horseback riding, golfing, fishing or swimming in the creeks/rivers. Pine has much to offer such as antique shops, restaurants, specialty stores, arts and craft festivals and other special events.

Perfect getaway Spring Break time in Pines
Had a lovely few nights stay in this charming cabin. Very easy to find, conveniently located close to shops and markets. We truly enjoyed our stay ... the cabin is surrounded with beautiful pines and views miles long! Great experience ! Im sure we will be back! Thank you for everything
We are very please that you have a good time. Thanks you for your business and please come again.
Kind wishes, Ken and Karen
Beautiful views, owner is very nice, loved large deck.
Everything you need is provided by the owner. Even had firewood for us. Outstanding views of mountains. Large decks (my doggies love to circle the house on the deck). Located next to state lands. Saw a herd of elk walk right by the house. House could use a little updating(sliding glass doors hard to operate), but price is right. Overall we had a great stay, thanks!
Our group of friends had an amazing time in Pine. The cabin accommodated our group perfectly. The owners were quick to respond to any inquiries and very accommodating. Thanks for letting us use your home!
I am very glad your group enjoyed their stay and thank you for the great review.
Please come again.
Great Vacation Spot!
Our family enjoyed our annual trip to Pine to the Hodge Lodge. This cabin always exceeds all of our expectations. Everything you could possibly need is there. Owners are great to work with.
Thanks for your great review. It is really nice to have people return multiple times. Im a glad you had a good time,,,, again!
We were all up here and loved the area, the views from the balconies are spectacular and it’s a very nice cabin to rent. Our overall impressions are great. The only thing that some of us didn’t enjoy are all the stairs but they are needed to enjoy the different levels. Overall very nice and we will come again when able. Thanks to Ken Hodges he was very accommodating!
Thanks for the great review. We look forward to your return.
Complete peace and beauty
Great location, so quiet and perfect space for a family. Saw deer from the kitchen window within 20 mins or arriving and continued to see wildlife the whole trip. Loved all of the living spaces that allowed the family to spread out and and have some quiet time between adventures. Appreciated all of the instructions that made our first rental so easy. Would recommend this residence to friends and family in the future. Our only complaint was we could not stay longer. Thanks to the Hodge family for allowing us to share such a wonderful place.
Thanks you so much for your great review. We are very glad you had a good time. Do come again.

Pine is about 13 miles north of Payson. It is about 1000 ft higher and lots of Pines and other trees. There are several restaurants and a nice little grocery store.
